And here is a truck I did for a friend of mine to show it's potential. Steps taken in this pic were 1) #2 with a foam pad 2) wash it 3) degrease 4) X-Kote.

I came across a video on one of the dealer sites that admittedly does look kind of interesting.

I glanced at several of the dealers listed on the company website and they generally appear to be places that will apply if for you rather than let you just go buy it. Did I miss somewhere in this thread where it mentions a price for this stuff? Is it even available online?

Your correct. Distributors and dealers do the applications. X-Kote is a new concept in the automotive world and quite simply if you don't have any experience with application and prep, it probably won't turn out properly. I am more than happy to show someone a demo. Selling single applications for trial just isn't a great idea. There is to much chance for error and perhaps bad reviews because of indivdual error and not product error.

Well, considering that it's a few hundred miles to the nearest dealer, there's no risk whatsoever of me becoming curious enough to satisfy my curiosity. ;)

unfortunate but i can understand the distance thing. I do allot of traveling promoting my product, some people don't.

Even aside from the distance issue, I don't let anyone else touch the paint on my car. I might consider it in a rare circumstance if I knew and trusted them, such as a few people on this site because of the quality of their work, but that's it. I've seen far too many hack jobs by supposed professionals to trust my paint to anyone else. I believe you'll find this opinion shared by a number of others on this site. I understand your position over concern that your product might have it's reputation tarnished by faulty application, but that position will also exclude a number of people who are picky about their finish.
