Cheapest site for PC?

I'm finally gonna place my order for a PC pkg. Any great deals going on online right now?
I'm gonna order the PC, LC pads, and Poorboy's polish. I've looked on Autogeek and SuperiorAutomotive...any other sites I should be checking out(besides here)?

Not sure which pads I need either. What size? Low profile pads or not?
What pads do I need to get into tight spaces (i.e. under spoiler or where body panels meet)?

I would purchase the pads from one of the sponsors. I personally use Edge 2000 pads and love them, but a lot of people use Lake Country and Wolfgang pads and have great success with them as well. I'd do a little research and see if you can find any qualities in a pad that you're looking for.

If you looked on Autogeek, you should have found the deals mentioned in this thread.

Seems like some pretty good deals to me.

I've looked at the PC pkgs, but most of them include stuff I don't need like detailing sprays, MF towels. I did put a few 'carts' together trying to figure out if the pkgs were a better value for me or not.
I'm definitely going to buy Poorboy's 1,2, 2.5, and 3(for older car I have) and the PC.
It's the pads that are confusing me. Not sure if I need 5", 6.5", 7.5" etc etc. I'm guessing it would be best to get 1 yellow,1orange,1 gray and possibly a white pad also.
I would like to use the PC to apply my DG products also, but I'm not sure if applying DG by hand is better or not.
BTW: I'm going to be using the PC for minor swirls, cobwebbing etc on my new Mustang......but I'm also gonna try to clean up my 97 Grand Am that's pretty scratched up etc.

I think they all run about the same from all the sponsers, its just which package comes with what. Wax,polishes, etc. Figure out what you'll use most and go with that package.

The sites I linked to had the PC by itself, ($109) in one instance and the PC with only some pads, ($119) in another.
I don't know what you need, but I'm using 6.5" pads with a 5" backing plate.
The colors, yellow, orange, gray, white don't mean a thing to me. I choose pads by their use, cutting, polishing, finishing. Not all pad suppliers use the same color coding for their pads.
A good table showing that can be found here:

You might want to look at both post #1 and post #18 to see the many different pad colors that are used.

Usually, all you need is a polishing pad, light cut pad, and a medium cut pad. I like to apply my LSP's by hand and don't like to use a finishing pad for them. Other people find that you can lay a thin, even layer of sealant by using a finishing pad. I also have never needed a heavy cut pad on any of the vehicles that I've worked on. I'm not sure about the backing plate because I use Edge pads and they are connected by an adapter.

SSR1 still has some abrasive materials in it. If you're looking to stick with Poorboys, I would either get Pro Polish or PwC. SSR1 can be used as a final polish before your LSP in certain cases, but it just depends on the condition of the paint.

Pro Polish is a 'finer' polish? What is Pwc? I don't have to go with ALL PB stuff. Is there another ultrafine polish you would recommend?
My paint on my 06 is in great shape (just minor swirls and cobwebbing the dealer must've caused washing the car poorly).

If that's your only MF towel, then yes, you missed something.
If you plan to use MF towels, I think 4 to 6 would be a bare minimum. It's nice to have a spare if you drop one or in some other way mess one up. I must have 40 or 50. :) As a hobby detailer, you don't really need that many. I just like MF towels. :) (And polishes, and waxes, and glass cleaners, and QD's, and .......:D)
