Cheapest clay in Canada

Ok, this is the case, in Canada there are no clay magic (well at least I've never seen them) so there are no crazy discounts. Clay is very expensive here and I only want the clay not the QD so I don't wanna spend extra bucks just for the QD. I can get MOTHERS clay kit, Megs Quick Clay and Megs Overspray clay locally (might be more). Canadians (especially vancouveries)!! I need help to find a clay that's cheap a effective

I always end up using the QD and keep a bottle in the trunk anyway for those pesky seagull emergencies that pop up from time to time. But it would be nice to know where to get just the clay.

For what it's worth, Vancouver is kind of a waste land when it comes to buying detailing products anyway wouldn't you agree?

Go to the nearest body shop supply store or any place you know that sells 3M products. Get the 3M perfect it III Clay bar PN 38070. If it's not in stock they can order it for you. This is a 200g bar no lube with it. It is exactly the same as the 200g Clay Magic Bar, i've used both. It costs about $30 CDN.

Not really. There are many of us here from vancouver who likes detailing like me. Why do you think that :nixweiss

There are distributors of Clay Magic in Canada. I went to the claymagic home page and emailed them and found a distributor in Ottawa.

I also noticed that the Canadian Tire near my place is starting to carry the Meguiar's clay kit. i know you just want the clay, but this kit was about $10 cheaper than the mother's kit and only has the QD (maroon bottle) and the Meguiar's clay.

I seem to have trouble finding things. Lordco seems to have the best supply of Meguiars but it even depends on what Lordco you go to. For example, I've been trying to find some #83 and I've been to 3 different Lordcos (North Van, Tsaawasen, Burnaby) and I'm going to try SE Marine Dr next because I'm told they have two bottles in stock. The Canadian distributor for Meguiars still doesn't have on-line shopping although I was able to order apparently as a special favour (and have just received) some NXT. I guess I'm a little frustrated because I ordered a PC724 from Autopia and over three weeks later, I'm still waiting.

Imagine - having a full bottle of NXT on the shelf and my old polisher is kaput! :sosad

There IS Clay Magic here, but it isn't a huge bargain, so try checking out the 3M option too. UAP/NAPA isn't cheap for this, so maybe try asking bodyshop supply stores as said.

Thanks. CarCareSmart.com http://www.carcaresmart.com/ is another alternative with the option of being able to pick up the product in Burnaby although I don't see clay bars on their site. I am relatively new at the sophisticated side of detailing and have been sticking with the Meguiars line for now. When I'm more comfortable with the effects different polishes and waxes produce, I'll venture out to try other brands.
