Chat Night on Tuesday 9 Feb 2010- SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER Patrick Taylor from COLLINITE

A little birdie just told me that today's guest speaker is Patrick Taylor from Collinite. He should be logged in around 8 PM EST and ready to help answer any questions about Collinite products.

This is a pretty unique opportunity to get information right from the source!

"...we have a very special quest coming on and who knows what else is going to happen..."

I real psychic? :spy:

How can I join the chat without installing a proprietary toolbar (aint doin' that for nobody)?

Regards,
GEWB

Hmmm, PM sent :scared:

I don't normally do 'chats', I rarely text, I don't IM... but this is one chat I would've liked to have participated in.

Everybody's got a Toolbar. Earthlink tried to force one down my throat, Google, Yahoo and on and on. Any time I update software I have to keep an eye out for a Toolbar installation checked by default. I'm not fond of the coding in many Toolbars. The only time I had to format and reinstall an OS was the result of a Toolbar gone amuck. As a result I don't install proprietary toolbars.

By making Chats accessible only via a Toolbar you're excluding some that might offer a positive contribution. Or not.

My $.02.

Just to calm some of the concerns that some of our members have regarding the toolbar, let me assure you the toolbar is a safe interface to use.
It is not a malware, trojan horse of any sort.
As you can see, there are quite a few components to it that allow you to do things like search PAC by brand without even going to PAC first. Also, it lets you check out Twitter feeds, and feeds from TID.

However, just to let everyone know that we do listen to your concerns, I am in the process of working on a new and quite different toolbar.

I will post an update as soon as we are ready to rock and roll with it.

I am with TL on this issue. It is one of the primary reasons I have not participated in the chats. Hopefully PAC will find a way to conduct the chats without having to use a toolbar.

I consider myself somewhat of a computer geek in that I build (and troubleshoot when needed) my own computers. I've found the PAC toolbar to be quite solid as is (I'm running Windows Vista 64-bit). Not only has it not given me any issues, it can be easily uninstalled and the 'Shop by Brand' feature is extremely useful.
