CG New Look Trim Gel

I've never used a gel on trim before. Sounds interesting, I have some that says it can be used on trim so I will try it out first before trying CG's.

Great review! I used this stuff last night on my Armada which has pretty weathered trim, I liked it a lot.

Overall I'm a big fan so far, will post pics in a couple weeks on durability...
 
Nice review. The CG line is certainly getting a good overall review on here. Don't recall seeing many negative comments on any of their products that are being reviewed.
 
Update:

Due to popular demand I purchased UTTG last week and tried it. Much less viscous than CG NLTG. Surprisingly, this made it a bit more difficult to apply (it didn't leave a thick, dark trail like CG NLTG to see where you've been) and didn't spread as far (needed more product to cover the same area. After applied, the gloss is about the same.

Unfortunately, direct durability studies are not underway (they are on different cars). Sorry. I applied UTTG to my year old Hyundai (with perfectly new looking trim) so I'm not even sure I'll be able to tell if it wears off.

Overall, it seems to be a very good product. Hopefully in the near future I'll be able to try it on a car with a bit of faded trim to see how its restorative ability goes.
 
The only downside that I have to Ultima Tirm and tire is that it doesnt really restore as well as some other dressing I have used. I need to get some of this CG stuff with my next order.

Please keep us updated on the durability.
 
Like I have stated before CG like to stretch it a little bit when it comes to their products and the claims. I would be interested also to see if it does live up to the advertising.

I use a foam applicator and really work it in. UTTG does require a slower process but I think that can be a benefit.

I actually think some of the trim products that are much less viscous (more watery) tend to be over applied. If not buffed off very well, this results in running when the surface gets wet that some complain about with various products.

When I say more, I'm talking like 5-6 drops for the wiper cowl. Still not a lot. Just that CG NLTG takes 4 - and that is 2 coats.

Well now that you have UTTG I would love to see your thoughts on a true 50/50 test with durability. I have tested black wow & PBTR and found them similar with my choice being PBTR. But I now have UTTG and it is much better.
 
mjlinane if you do a little searching around you will find a lot of posts with pictures of it on older trim. It does bring them back to a nice black finish. Hopefully you will be able to do a side by side of the two products on some faded trim because they do seem to be very close to each other.
