CG Leather Conditioner

I bought a gallon of the CG conditioner, searching for an affordable replacement for Z10. But my container of CG conditioner doesn't smell like new leather at all - and my wife and her gf fully agree. Others have said it has a pleasant leather smell...so I'm wondering if I simply got a bad bottle or if maybe they get a little stingy on the leather-like scent for the gallon?

I will try the duragloss next, and then it's on to the griots conditioner and the griots leather scent.

I warned you the smell is bad :)

Just happen to have used this recently in my 2001 Vette and found it to be more leather like in fragrance than I thought a chemical could duplicate. As with everything else the scent or fragrance is subjective and what one might find appealing or acceptable another may not. By the way, I thought it did a great job on my Vette. Where the seats seemed to be drying up slightly they now look more supple and flexible. The shifter boot and steering wheel look really great as does the rest of the interior and mine doesn't smell offensive at all. The white micro fiber towel (dedicated interior mf) I used showed just how much dirt it took out too.

Yeah, Yeah. No, actually it doesn't smell bad when applied...just does not smell like leather. I'm seriously wondering if they don't dilute the gallon (scent-wise). George, was it inn the gallon form you tried?

Scent may be subjective, but the gallon I have does not smell anything close to leather...and the two other people I had smell it (both in the bottle and applied to my vehicle) agreed that there was no leather-like smell. I'm actually wondering if I should ask for a replacement.

I'm sure if you talked with them they'd probably do whatever it took to make things right for you as most of the vendors talked about on here would. No one wants their product or customer service to be looked at as second rate. Though one which shall go nameless scoffed at and implied how wrong I was at an assertion/suggestion I had made about one of their products. So give them a call or e mail and let us know what happens.
