Center Ring Pads

So I got contacted by a rep from Buff and Shine products to see if I could test out some of ther pads for them. I always like testing stuff out so I had to ask what was the pitch with these pads. I told him that I currently run the edge2000 system on one of my rotaries. He said perfect because that's exactly what they are competing with. Basically the Pad's are designed with a center ring in them that lines up perfectly with the BP they provide. So just like the edge system it's perfect centering everytime. But no metal center to worry about looking scary to potential customers that would freak out if they saw that metal post coming anywhere near their paint. I got the shipment in yesterday they sent me BPs for both the roataries and the D/A's I have plus both cutting and finishing foam and wook pads. All 7" right now. They are developing smaller sizes but are waiting to see if these take off first I guess. I haven't had a chance to try them out just yet but just by looking at the set up I do like the concept a lot. And the pads are the same price as other regular pads (around $8-$10) so the cost is better than the edge system already. I have an Escelade coming in tomorrow so I should get a chance to try these out. Anyone else get a chance to use these yet? I know they're fairly new but I think they've been out for a little while now. THe foam pads are honeycombed out. Could be an interesting cut. I just like being called on to test stuff out LOL.

LOL sorry. Here's some pics of what they sent me. You can also check out their website. Car Buffing Pads, Car Wash Equipment, Automotive Polishing Pad & More – Buff and Shine they seem to have alot more options on there.

You can see the centering ring in the pad.

Looks very similar to the Meg's SOLO or 2.0 system. Which works very well IMO. I like the plastic ring on the Buff and Shine pads. Should do a really good job of keeping the pad centered.

Looks interesting. I like how they include all the pad #'s on the back of the black pad.

actually AL they do look exactly like those ones... Wonder if they're just rebranded like alot of CG stuff?? ehh looks like there's options out there at least with it. Should be testing it out here in about a hour or so.

actually I think it's vice versa ---- pads are B&S but CG is rebranding it.

Similar to their MPT line, which are Sonus pads/which are LC made...

I thought that it was a interesting lineup but I tend to prefer flat pads...

Oh yea I'm sold.. The foam is made different than any other foam pad I've ever used. Seems more like a "Fiber foam" of sorts but it holds up very very well. And centered everytime. Even at higher speeds very minimal chatter. I would say this is a very good option to the edge system (that seems to be getting phased out anyways)
