i though this was a polishing pad with a little kick, but when i got it in the mail.. it was much stiffer and textured than i expected. should i use this for cutting? or is this possible to use with a light polish and finish down right too?

Maybe I don't see a difference between the CCS and the FLAT LC pads I use. I'd like to see a side by side view of working a product same amount of time, on the same machine, and in relative ambient weather, with both an CCS pad and FLAT pad and see which one actually does perform better. Just because CCS is better "technology" doesn't mean it works better.

I just bought 2 dozen of the low profile 5.5" LC orange pads from AG.net for my makita. :grinno: :help:

Well the only compaprison i was able to make was my yellow CCS and yellow VC pads.

With the normal VC pads and Automagic XP compound, it dried up too fast or it soaked up the compound. So I thought the XP compound was just a bad product and left it on the shelf.

CCS pads and Automagic compound, it allowed me longer working time and the correction i wanted. Took Automagic off the shelf and use it more and more.

Maybe it was the VC design, because it wasnt flat. Who knows?
