Castrol Super Clean question

I'm in need of an APC, and I am going to go with Meg's when I need to replace my DACP and pick up some 80, but for the meantime I need another APC and I've seen many positive responses about Castrol Super Clean. I saw it at Walmart today for $5.88, and I just had some questions regarding the dilution ratios. I searched under "aka Patrick" and "castrol super clean" and I saw that it can be diluted, but the ratios are never mentioned. The back of the bottle recommends:

1:1 Engine / Wheels / Wells

1:3 Carpet

1:8 Vinyl / Plastic

I think those are right, I'm doing them from memory. I just thought they seemed a bit too concentrated, and was wondering if anyone uses different ratios. Thanks.

It definitely seems like a good deal for something you can buy local, I just didn't want to spray it 1:3 on my carpets and have the color come out. Isn't the ratio for carpets usually the same as vinyl?

X, i usually go a litle lighter than what the label says, in the beginning. The stuff is awesome, as i have yet to find something i cant clean with it. If I recall, I usually do carpets at about 10-12:1, vinyl, around 20:1.

Thanks for the responses. So I'm assuming about 4:1 for wheels / engine. Patrick - is that 10:1 for stain removal or general carpet cleaning or both?

X, good ratio for both, if you should come up with something (Stain) that needs a little more product, have another mixture available, maybe 8:1. I have a 20:1 for vinyl, 10:1 for carpet, and 8:1 for stubborn stuff. Im serious, Castrol is by far the best APC I have ever used......I have never bought another brand in the 2 yrs Ive been using it.

I can honestly second what Patrick said. The dilution ratios on the bottle have seemed a little too strong to me also. About 10:1 for carpets has removed everything I've encountered in mine, including coffee. Great for countertops, stovetops, and bathtubs, too. I use 3:1 on my tires (removes old dressings and road grime great), but wouldn't use it that strong on my rims (or other metals) because I'm afraid of possible streaking. A gallon lasts me a LONG time.
