How are you finding Porsche paint these days? My 997 C2S in black is soft as all hell!
So far, I've only had the new Zaino on my "P" car, but still love Souveran on blacks! Prior to winter storage, I will make sure it has a few coats of Zaino on it and top with Souveran before the cover goes on until spring. I get to inflate the tires up to 60lbs and add tire cradles if I cannot get cheap wheels/tires just for winter storage.
I've yet to try the ONR, but if it does what you say it does, it'll sure help! Cleaning wheels, no matter what you own is always a PITA! Wheel well dressing is always changing in what works well now-a-days. Some also work very well in suspension items as well. I'm still on the fence on a few good dressings just for undercar work as Porsche as one long underpan!
One day, you need to go to a Porsche dealer and get in one of the new 997 Carerras and take in the smell of the leather. You'll find it's very unique and most leather conditioners are overpowering or masking. As much as I love Zaino Z-10, it's too strong for the Porsche leather. However, in my old Lexus, Zaino was dead-on to what Lexus leather smells like new. So far it's 1Z Lederpflege as it's light and neutral in odor. I'd love to hear your take on this oddity as quite a few "P" car owners still use Lexol.. ugh.. .

Nick-I use a Cyclo or PC, so I can't answer your question fully but a rotary and Diamond Cut should remove most anything that can be removed.

Black Porsche paint is a PITA, about as soft as black Infiniti G35s. Try finishing off with Menzerna 106FF or FPII and for more depth, mix in 30% Clearkote's Red Machine Glaze. Werkstatt's Prime Carnauba also finishes very well on softer black paints.
I have a customer with a metallic black 997S and I agree, the interior scent is intoxicating!

You're right, black IS a PITA. I have some P085RD left as well as 106FF and even Menzerna Glaze all in 32oz size. When I was notifed that the car got to the dealer, I dropped off one 32oz P085RD to the shop for the detail. These guys are highly trained and do exceptional work. Let's just say they couldn't put the "85" down! They used it on several cars prior to my car and were stunned on the finish level w/o going to a glaze. When it came time for my car, they took extra time and after it was done, all were taken back by the high gloss. Many pictures were taken by the dealer. They also had to hide the car as other "P" car owners wanted to buy the car.
Haven't used any CK stuff since VM and QS which I still have. Too bad I can't get good old "Liquid Ebony" from Clear-N-Brite. Now that was a glaze for black!
So far, the newer Zaino looks so much better than older Zaino if you remember. With a few coats of Z5-Pro and Z2-Pro along with Z8, damn glossy and deep looking. Soon it will be time to top with Souveran prior to storage. That should be interesting on what it will look like.
It's way overdue for polishing, but just way too busy. One day I'll get to it and post some pics.
Damn these are fun cars! :woot2:
