Carrera GT: Supercar Detailing in Michigan

Agree with the others, really fantastic job. Liked the fact you washed the car after the polishing stage to remove all the dust particles. Didn't think of that but it's so logical once I read it. Thanks for that.

wow! such a beautiful car and professional level of work and love to cars! but sucks with that low 4k miles the car is not being used for whats it was designed to do. Probably just sits in the showroom all life

Amazing work Marc/Tim! :thumb:

Marc, your articles are by far the most informative of any other detailer I've seen on any of the detailing forums. Not only are you a master detailer, but your willingness to share knowledge and help others say a lot about who you are as a person. :hail:

This is pretty awesome too!

Been a while since we've talked BTW...I miss your dropped calls! :cell:

Chad! I hope you're well. I see you've been busy knocking out some cars and making clients happy (no surprises there), but we surely need to talk some more soon. I don't know what dropped calls you're referring to, my T-Mobile service never drops calls...

Thanks a lot Greg! I hope to talk to you soon bud.

Incredible level of work on the GT! :wow:

Excellent and informative write-up too, glad to hear you were able to consult with another detailer when you ran into problems with the ultra hard paint. Always nice to know that the relationships we cultivate here can pay off like that.

Thanks a lot Scott. It sure is helpful to have the ability to talk to another detailer, especially one with a great amount of experience and when you run into something weird, like having the entire finish covered in sanding marks.

HOLY MOLY that was by far, one of the best write ups I've ever read!!!!! Well worth the wait!

Thanks a lot Eric! Means a lot coming from a guy who just posted a 1 of 1 Audi R8 V10 and just finished a new McLaren!

A perfectly refined mix of elegance, craftsmenship, and pure perfection. Marc this one was absolutely stunning. Its incredible to see you guys making it happen. Congrats on a purfect detail and write up. Be very proud of this one. On a side note its nice to know that the rear tire of a carrera gt is 3 pop tars wide!

Barry what's happening man. Always appreciate a fellow ex-grunt taking the time to look through some of my work and leaving a comment. Hope all is well in PA and I hope to get out there again to help you with a car. Better yet, we need to get you out here to Michigan still!

Stunning work Marc - loved the write up - this is the first one in a very long time that I read every word and every reply! instead of just checking out the pictures. :bow

Which reminded me, that you never called me back about the question I had for you. :D

Much appreciated Thomas. I know most people probably just skipped over the words, but I figure if you're going to read them all, I better try to make it worth reading.

I'll give you a call - we have to talk :)

Aaaahhhh the olden thread. Hopefully I'll be remembered as much as him, but in a good way. Hope all is well and we need to get together David.

There just aren't words (at least forum-friendly ones) to describe this write-up. Amazing write-up, detail, photos. Hell, amazing EVERYTHING! This might actually top the 135i write-up as my favorite AutoLavish detail to date. You never cease to amaze. Even though I know it's been awhile since this detail was actually performed, I've been waiting patiently ever since you started throwing teasers up. Well worth the wait.

Marc and Tim, you guys killed it. :whoo:

Thanks a ton Mike and I hope all is well in Charlotte. Sure did spend a good amount of time on this, so I'm glad it has been well received.

As always your guys work is really inspiring. Your attention to detail is remarkable as is your knowledge of our craft. Great work and thanks for the in depth write up. Everyone can really appreciate not only the work but the time and appreciation of your work it takes to post this in depth of a write up. A million thanks.
