Hey! What's up guys. I have a question for you pro's out there. Rigth now to shampoo customers cars I have a system that works pretty good but it is majour time comsuming and back breaking. I was wondering if some of you could let me know how you shampoo your customers carpets.

Right now I sray on the oxi-tide mix to wet up the carpets. Then I scrubb the stain spots with a little more solution. And if I have to I put on a mitt and shampoo the carpets like I'm doin your hair.......lol. Then I extract out the water with a cold water extractor or a wet/dry vac. This gives me pretty good results but kills a ton of time. To do the mats I just give them a spray with a dilluted degreasser and use the pressure washer. They come out like new!!

Any methods you could give would help a bunch, and my back will thank you!

I have done a ton of searches on here and it seems to keeps giving me other peoples questions without alot of answers.

Thanks a Ton.................Clint

I use Magnum Upholstry Cleaner that I get from my Meguiars distributer (it isn't a Meguiar's product though). I mix it up in a spray bottle (about 8:1) and spray it on the carpets and seats, scrub with a small plastic bristle brush, wipe up with a clean towel then vacuum dry. I use Folex on tough stains (you can buy it at most grocery stores in the aisle with carpet cleaners like Resolve). I had a Little Green Machine, but they don't hold up to constant daily use.

For floor mats, I clean them the same way, but I blast the nasty ones out with a hose, squeegie off the excess water and let air dry.

I've done some pretty nasty interiors this way.

If you are going the professional route, then a professional tool is in order. I use the (Century 400) Sensei Extractor. It is the bomb! 100psi, heated and 120 inch water lift (I think!). I spray with ValuGard Omni, agitate with my trusty B&D Scumbuster (AWESOME TOOL!) where needed, and extract using only hot water and ValuGard's Odor terminater.

Clients love the lack of smell, and the clean carpets...

The Sensei costs a bit, but it sure gets the job done!

Agreed. I managed to get my hands on a Mytee steam extractor to clean the capret in the Maxima. Using it made me want one even more. :D

Bumpers Plus: Fair Question - No, he/they didn't even have an extractor during my visit... (I'm sure they have a new one by noe)

My decision was based on a variety of internet reseach/searches.

Mytee had my attention for quite awhile, but some VERY negative responses made me look further.

A visit to my local distributor of floor care products convinced of the Sensei -being able to get 'anything' serviced just 2-3 blocks away is a plus.

It is only <60 days, but it has been flawless in performance!

Big Note: requiring 28 amps, this 'portable machine ' is not for most mobile detailers. In fact, I got lucky in my new shop, with TWO dedicated circuits. These are pretty much necessary. (In my home, the 2 seperate power cords came in handy, albeit stretched in different directions)

Back to topic, Ron offered no opinion.

I strongly endorse the Sensei!
