I have tried a few carnauba's and I am very pleased with S100. However I would like for everyone to pick a wax or two from the list that you use, and tell everyone what you like about it, If you have used any of the others make comparisons ect, You get the idea.

PM me if you want to add a wax that is not listed and i will add it.

If you would like to check for a wax on the list go to edit (find) on this page, and type name of wax.

Please Guy's and Gal's no :argue and be nice!

I figure this post could put all the carnuba on the table, or at least some of it.

I love S100 and #16. Both are great values, easy to use, and have a tremendous shine. However, when I use a caranuba during the cold winter months I prefer Collinite #915 for its longevity.

Horses for courses. I like how Souveran looks on my XJS, just gives the look *I* like on that particular paint (metallic gray).

3M Showcar Paste was my wife's fave on her silver Audi for a long time. This was the older version, haven't tried the latest one.

Meg's #16 is my overall favorite carnauba, just doesn't give quite the rich depth that the Souveran does. Accumulatorette didn't really like how it looked on her car compared to the 3M, but changed her mind after I applied a second coat using the Cyclo/Spitshine-using-Speed Shine method.

Collinite 476S is my favorite beater car wax.

I tried P21S on the Jag and just didn't like how it looked, too reflective, not enough depth compared to the Souveran, but again, that's just a matter of how I want that car to look.

Others for the list:

Griot's Best of Show- yuck, IMO. Only fair durability, not as slick as other waxes, not too easy to use for a liquid, and I just didn't care for how it looked. Can't say what I didn't like about the look, but it just didn't do it for me.

Malm's liquid- I sorta like this better than the Griot's, but it isn't really anything special. It is easy to use, though. Seems to "layer", or at least build up, more than one might expect for a liquid. Doesn't stain trim.

Pro makes a decent paste wax, with no cleaners. I forget the number for it, but I used it back in the day and it was OK.

Clearkote Carnauba....ease of use, very nice look and feel, better than others in the durability group.

Stuf Carnauba...Again, easy to use, and nice looking....

S100....Nice look. Not my favorite by any stretch of the imagination.

3M...A little smelly, but good looking....

1. S100 - a terrific value, good durability, nice bright shine for a wax. Hardly a diff between this and P21S.

2. Souveran - lots of oils provide a deep rich look. Durability on a par with S100, maybe a little bit better.

Blitz and Stuf both stain trim so I won't use them again. Meg's #26 gives paint a yellow tint which I don't like but otherwise it's decent for a store bought wax.

I wouldn't let the stained trim issue get in the way if one really likes the wax otherwise. Many of us tape off the trim during a full detail, prior to waxing doing so is also an option.

Winter wax----Collinite

Summer wax----Souvern

My new wax----Finish Kare PINK---used it 3X with little or no dust pickup

Are your preferances the same for a dark (blue or black) car?

I am leaning towards either #16 or Sovereign Paste Wax.

wwwfk1usa.com that is the website.the pink wax is what I used. #16 has great durability and it will give you a shine but not like Souvern IMHO Sovern is the best product around for black navy or dark colored finishes but 6 weeks -2 months durability depending where you live.Is it possible to get longer YES but I found 2 1/2 months the most

For dark colors:

1. Souveran.

2. P21S

For light colors and metallics:

1. Pinnacle Signature/#16 - Tie

2. P21S

They all work great and they all make the paint look a little different. I would suggest that you try them all if you can! I will say somthing about Souveran - it seems to darken the paint and add soooo much depth and wetness. For metallics, Pinnacle Signature/#16 really make the metallic part of the paint pop and give a nice depth/wetness as well.

Cheers,

some of my favorites are S100 and Gold Class, I just tried 16 and it has rained and well, It's beating like a monster. It also has a very nice gloss. looking into trying natty's and some collinite insulator.
