Care to watch the progress of my custom bar???

my buddy works for Bacardi....which ownes Grey Goose vodka, Dewars scotch, Cazadores tequila, Bombay gin, and some others....all of which are free to me!!!. Bacardi 8 is my favorite.

WOW!

After getting caught up with work for the summer months, and then the hectic times of the Holidays, followed by a back breaking month of work down here in the basement...I completely forgot about this thread.

Just popped into my head for some reason, so I searched and see that a few people have bumped the thread to ask about updates. I'd hate to leave you guys hanging with no closure...let me do some picture organizing and I'll post the updated (nearly finished) product.

Wow man that looks awesome you should get a sign made that reads "Wrapped with Envy" and hang it over head in neon.

Man...I really failed at updating this thread. Without further wait and fail from me...here's the pictures of the whole basement...

Keep in mind, the ENTIRE project was DIY. The only thing that was hired work was carpet installation. I did all electrical, framing, drywall, spackle/texturing, ceramic tile, paint, etc. So keep that in mind...I was learning on the fly most of the time, so don't be too harsh.

Any questions...I'll be sure to keep up with the thread this time to get them answered quicky.

That looks unbelievable...what a transformation. :wow: You have some mighty exceptional talent, and your bar...almost makes me want to take up drinking again!! :grinno:

"Dont be to harsh" ha ha.. quit kidding us... Man that is sweet... Great winter project.:bigups

When are we all invited over for a brew??

I'm my biggest critic, and I'm pretty happy with it...however, you can tell it wasn't done by a professional. It doesn't show as much in the pictures, and probably people that come over don't really notice either...but I know some of the things are there :)

I'm just a "kid" in my first house...trying to make it look better. Everything I've learned has been from improvising with this house. It's leaps and bounds ahead of where it was when I bought it 4 years ago. Downstairs/Upstairs/Outside....it's been quite a project.

:hifive:

Wow looks great!! No problems with balls hitting the display behind the ping pong table?

Nope, that's the first thing just about everybody says. We've had some pretty heated ping pong matches down here, and nothing even close to a casualty yet. BTW, that's my wife's shot glass collection on the shelves there. The can lights above are on a dedicated dimmer switch.

that looks crazy. seems like a very long diy project. nice hold em' table.

I have a tough time staying motivated, so it took me probably 3 months to do it all, but with my time off in the winters I could have finished it much quicker.

I built the poker table as well. Padded playing surface with suede stretched over it, and a padded arm rest all the way around with marine vinyl stretch around that. :woot:

I just went back through this whole thread. It was a lot of fun posting while building. I'm a little said that I dropped the ball on updating this while doing the rest of the basement. Although, I spent so much time doing the rest of the project (finished it all in 1 month), that I really didn't post much anywhere. I do have some progress pics of the whole basement if anyone wants to see them though.

Now I'm just waiting for General Lee to see the updated pics...been around the thread since the beginning.

From one who can barely hammer a nail in straight, I am in total awe of EVERYTHING you have done! :2thumbs: :cooleek: :getdown :woohoo:
