Most CF parts hoods and trunks are gelcoated, not clearcoated. You can use regular polishes, but I prefer to use gelcoat-specific polishes - Meguiar's makes a marine line that you find online or at most marine stores (West Marine is a big nationwide chain). Follow up with a sealant with UV protection, then a good protective wax like meguiar's #26 or #16 (might still find a can if you look hard enough).
