If theres already a thread on this just point me in the right direction. I did a search but got tired of sorting through pages of results.

I want to know if anyone here has had experience using both the C. Jett and A. Jett and how do they compare to each other? Ease of application, longevity, overall results, which one works best on lights, darks, metallics, etc.? Thanks!!!

oh btw, I asked werkstat pretty much the same question and this was thier answer but I also wanted to get the input of experienced users of the products:

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting the Werkstat. We appreciate your interest in our products.

For most applications, we do recommend the Acrylic Series of formulas. While they work superbly on all colors, they are particularly well suited to the light colored paints that you would be using them on.

The primary differences between the Acrylic Jetts and Carnauba Jett lie in aesthetics and in durability. The A.Jetts present a very wet and reflective shine with outstanding clarity that does not tint the base paint color or hinder the appearance of metallics. The C.Jett presents a slightly more mellow look, a touch warmer and deeper. While the natural carnauba wax protects very well, it will not quite have the durability of the synthetic polymers in the A.Jetts. It is more susceptible to degradation from extreme heat and sun.

And if popularity is anything to go by, Acrylic Jett Trigger handily outsells both original A.Jett and C.Jett. You get all the benefits of A.Jett in a very easy-to-apply formula. Original A.Jett and C.Jett are just a bit more specialized in application and performance and offer options for those folks seeking particular attributes.

Hopefully this has been of some help. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reply back.

Happy Detailing!

I must say they had a great response, and response time, and honest... who knew companies like this still exist???

I have both and have used them on my red Audi, I tend to like the carnuba jett a little better, but both are nice to use under the proper conditions.

I'd say that Werkstatt's response is a good one. I've used both, and I agree with them. I just the A.Jett on my white and silver cars, and I use the C.Jett on my black Mustang. They work just like any other nuba or sealant, just sprayable...which is very nice.

For those who used both: Is CJ as easy to use as AJT?

Not IME. I found CJ to be somewhat challenging to apply evenly and thinly, and even more of a PITA to remove. I used CG to aid in removal and it helped a lot. I almost never use it for that reason, as opposed to AJT which is a staple in my arsenal.

I love AJT on metallic Silver! Killer!

I recently removed my Opti-Seal and went with AJT, and I much prefer the AJT on Silver. It is brighter and sharper, while the OS seemed to make the paint a little darker and deeper. I prefer the brighter and sharper on Silver, darker and deeper on my Yellow car.
