Car tents?

My house doesn't have a garage, just a driveway. I've been toying with the idea of getting one of those car tents to put in the driveway. The tent will serve two purposes; keeping the car clean and having a shady place to detail the car (the sun is on the car pretty much from 10am-6pm in the summer. my blue car gets hot quick, making it impossible to wash or do anything).

Right now I have two options, www.coverit.com. or get one of those party tents from BJ's, HomeDepot... There's a nice one at BJ's my friend saw, which sides are encloded, but can also flip up (so since the sun passes the right side of my car, in theory I could open up the left flap to have more room to work with).

Anybody have any suggestions?

Do you want something that stays up most of the time or something that is just for weekend warrior detailing use?

I have an E-Zup 12'x12' shade canopy I often use for weekend use. I got it off Amazon for like $150. It is probably their least expensive model. While it has served me well for the nearly 3 years I've had it, it isn't something that could stand up to daily use. Also, the size doesn't cover the entire length of the car so I can only work on about half at a time. I'd love to have their 12'x20' model but it cost nearly $1,000.

How hard is the Ez-Up to put up...is it a one person job that one could use for mobile detailing?

My 12'x12' can be done by one person. I've done it by myself a couple of times but I recommend 2 people do it. When I've done it by myself, there has in my opnion been extra stress put on the frame and being that I have a cheap model, I don't think it would hold up long term doing it that way. Your milage may vary.

I find it easier to take down by myself than if I had someone help.
