car shampoo?

Yeah that's what I plan to do. So just use plain water for awhile, and then switch to car shampoo after it's had some time to cure?

Your better off to use some form of soap on it to keep it lubed .. any additives in the soap are so short lived they will not effect curing .. the only thing that

will is sealers

No shampoo that I know of has sealers some have oils and conditioners but they won't hurt it. I used the Turtle Wax stuff right after Ihad mine done

The only thing I was told after my front end was repainted was to not use a high pressure sprayer for one week. The owner of the shop knows I am a detailer, so he just said to wash my car the way I always do.

No, what I'm saying is, ask Sal if his Z7 shampoo is safe for freshly painted surfaces. Sorry for not being so clear.

Jumping back to my question about good tools for washing/drying a car safely without swirls. I see that Autopia sells a Genuine Wool Wash Mitt, and a Waffle Weave Ultimate Drying Towel.

Can I get an honest opinion of these? If they're just as good as the stuff from pakshak.com, and other quality sites, I'd rather buy from here and support the messageboard. I just want the highest quality since my paint is going to be more delicate now.

I own both, the wash mit is great, very high quality. The towel is great too, but i think i need to order 1 or 2 more because 1 dosent seem to be enough to completely dry the car, yes i sheet the water off first :)

*Adds 2 more WW ultimate drying towels to the x-mass list*
