So, I`m in the middle of confusion choose car shampoo. My goal is, find the best performance.

So Which one i should choose : Gyeon Bathe+ or CG Citrus Wash and Gloss. Any comments will be appreciated, Thanks

I use CG citrus for the majority of the time. I love the shine it leaves and easy drying. It also seems to get most of the bugs and tar without extra chemicals. With that said, I do still spray the front and mirror fronts of the car with CG Bug and Tar was prior to bathing though for extra measure to reduce scratches from wiping the big guts. I can`t speak for Gyeon as I have never used it. Other than the Citrus Wash I also use CG Mr. Pink.

If you have a coated car, Gyeon Bath+ is nice to add a little `boost` to the coating; doesn`t foam/suds much but slick as heck. Gyeon Bathe (no plus) is nice as well.

This.
Also, Citrus Wash and Gloss IMO is a stronger cleaner. I use it when my vehicles are dirtier. Like after a trip to the In-laws who live on a 4mile long dirt road.:( I use Bath+ as my monthly maintenance wash and Bath as my weekly wash. For the record I have Gyeon Can-Coat on my Vehicles.

Define "best performance" :D

I gather that the criteria for coated vehicles is very different from those wearing conventional LSPs, right?

IMHO, there really shouldn`t be a difference.

Need a good cleaner, neutral ph, great lubricity, rinse clear.

But it sure seems like a lot of people here are using "coating-centric" shampoos that sound like they`d be harsh on conventional LSPs.

I just don`t know from such stuff as I only coat wheels. Those usually clean up fine with my normal shampoos but if they look *really* dirty I do sometimes use something that`d strip/compromise a regular wax/sealant.

Thanks @Ronkh for clearing issues, hahaha. Sorry for my bad English.

This what i mean best performance is, cleaning action and lubricity.

Since Gyeon said their shampoo gives instant hydrophobic effect and CG gives good cleaning action also can be used as wax stripe. This always tempting me for give it a try to both products.

Just because I`m little short here, i wanna some thought before choose. 😅

as far a great soap.. I really like Poorboy`s Super Slick and Suds...cleans well, rinses easily and is very economical

I have a lot of different soaps but that is the one I will generally reach for

Bathe plus is for restoring a coatings heading. Wash one pannel and rinse quickly or you will mess up glass and chrome.

All others are pretty equal. Poorboys world is where I started and I spent a lot of $ on loads of washes and I`m back because it works and he price is right. Really never tried a bad wash. Some smell better some suds better but they are all fine. Never had one strip my lsp badly.

Don`t over think this and don`t over spend in this product catagory.

Just my 2 cents

There really aren`t any bad soaps sold here (I know that doesn`t help). Meg`s Hyper Wash is a good inexpensive soap. On coated cars I like CarPro Reset. Truthfully it is hard to go wrong. I would not choose Gyeon Bathe+ to use on a car I was going to wax just because it leaves SiO2 behind.

I might be in the minority here, but I find most shampoos have insufficient lubricity (and probably encapsulation too) which I believe leads to marring. After switching to better, and then *better* shampoos I had a marked decrease in wash-induced marring, even with my rather extreme wash regimen.

And at the risk of sounding like a Shampoo Snob, the only Meguiar`s stuff I ever liked was the 00 (primarily as wetsanding lube) and M62, which is what I used before GG came on the scene.

OTOH, the oh-so-pricey shampoos in the little bottles aren`t for me, if only because I`ll use 7/more ounces per wash easily and I can`t really see how anything would work better on conventional LSPs than my current GG + 3D Pink.

What is GG+3D Pink?
Griot`s Garage car shampoo - but what is the 3D Pink?

I like CGs Citrus shampoo because it can be formulated by ratio to do two jobs - lower ratio of soap to water for maintenance washes and higher ratios to help in paint prep prior to putting down an LSP. It may not totally strip your prior LSP at the higher ratio recommended for this but it certainly degrades it. Citrus Clear is also pretty good in foam guns as it produces lots of suds.

Once the LSP is down you can also use CGs Extreme Body Wash and Wax shampoo now and then. It does an excellent job of cleaning plus it leaves a very nice gloss which saves having to put a "booster" spray wax on the car every time you wash it. I`ll use the Extreme Body Wash and Wax maybe every third or fourth wash and that virtually eliminates the need of a spray wax or other "booster" product.
