Car Cover Scratches?

Well, it's come to the point that I feel the need to cover my car when it's sitting for any period of time since EVERYTHING that touches the paint becomes a permanent remnant. :boohoo Now, my quandry is how easy or difficult is it to scratch the paint whilst installing/removing the car cover... assuming extreme care is taken not to introduce contaminants into the cover by dragging on the ground and such? So I guess I'm asking could the cover material itself scratch the paint? The one I have is definitely not top of the line, but seems pretty soft. :dunno

Thanks

If the car is clean when you put the cover on and are careful you should be OK....that's not saying that dragging the cover over the car will not make some scratches. If I am putting the cover on I always use the Ca duster to remove what ever is on the car then, roll mine on......I have not noticed any great amount of scratches to speak of, that are not removed with my normal maintaince program....I think that the benfit of the cover out weights any amount of scratches that a cover would cause.

Thanks, Dave. I just went over the entire car with S&W before putting it on, so I hope it's all good under there.
