Car accident...

So, on the morning of Jan 29th, 2007, as I was heading out like any other day to school and study. My car was hit severely by a red light runner while making my left turn. Which has also caused my car swore towards on coming traffic, in which case my car hit 3 other vechile in the on coming lane. Luckly there were plenty of witness saw it, and they had ruled him 100% at fault. Here are some of the picture of the aftermath.

My poor beamer :bawling:

Bummer about your car, since it happened in Canada do you have to go through the State insurance program?

Oh and btw are you ok? That looks pretty gnarly, I hope you didn't have anyone riding shotgun at the time of the crash.

Yea, after volvo had hit my car, it had caused all the wreck which you see in the last picture. I am in the process of getting my money back for the car, since AAA had guys over to look at the car, and they concluded pretty much a write off. Surprisinly I was actually fine after the accident, and thank god nobody was in the car with me that time.

Thanks man. so insurance company called, and said it will cost about $29000 to fix my car, so they are probably not going to try as it is too expansive. Hopefully next week we'll get everything sort out and I should be getting another car soon. Probably be getting either a 4runner or a TL-S, tough choice, I mean I do like the reliability of toyota, but a TL-S is just gonna be so much more fun.

That'll buff right out. ;)

That is a real shame. So typical too. People blow through lights all the time around here. I just wish they'd do it in front of a semi.

Carl Johnson- Wow, glad you'r OK! Good to hear they're not pressuring you to settle for repairs, a new vehicle is a much better idea.

Sorry to hear :(.

Question: Why do you have a California plate when you are in BC? Just going to school in BC?

Not getting another bimmer?!

Get it totalled and buy a 07 328 or 335. My advice.

Unfortunately, accidents like this are a lose-lose situation but the car will never be the same even when repaired. Lots of people will get it totalled (it looks like it might be) and are able to get a new car.

Dont get the TL-S. FWD<RWD.

Wow - From those pictures $29,000(Canadian) seems really high!! It must have taken out the RT frame rail? Did any of the air bags go off? You're much better off totalling it that dumping a bunch of time and money into repairing it. Time to start over again. :bolt

Well it’s really my dad's car, he went back to states to do something, and I was driving the car that time. So yea, it's actually 29k US dollar in damages, the side curtain air bags went off. And I would assume there has to some sort of frame damage to jack up the cost so high. Good thing is we already got the paycheck, so just a matter of deciding which car to get at this point (X5 probably, my dad is obsessed with BMW). But What really pissed me off was that I just had washed n waxed my bimmer like two days before the accident, oh wells, it was good memories though. And yea thank god I was okay, someone was definitely looking over me, I walked away with no pain, no broken bone what so ever.

Canadian drivers are really, really horrible.

Yes, from sea to shining sea, they are all horrible. And you lived in Canada for how long?

Sorry, I know that comes off "assy", but I lived in California for just under a decade, and about 20 minutes from Buffalo for 20 years; Canadian drivers have got nothing on NY State drivers when it comes to "horrible". :)
