Cant use lexol...MF keeps rolling into hand

Hi,

I am trying to clean my leather (it is real leather) with a clean microfiber cloth and the cloth keeps rolling up into my hands, no matter if i apply heavy pressure or light...any tips as to why this is happening?

The microfiber tends to "grip" the leather. I use a small cotton towel and apply the Lexol to the towel. It works great on my leather seats.

I prefer to use a microfiber covered sponge like this one: "Uber" Microfiber Applicator Pads (2-Pk)



It provides a more rigid platform to scrub with and is easier to grip while scrubbing.

Why not use a sock stretched over your hand?

Lexol cleaner needs a lot of water.

Maybe you could try dragging the MF rather than 'pushing' it over the leather. Grip it with your thumb and pull while pressing down with your hand, works great for me.



I often have this same problem on glass. I found that those MF WW towels from the housewares in walmart work the best for me..

I no longer use towels on my interior.



After using microfiber covered foam sponges I'll never use a towel again. Autopia has a sale, 2 for $2.50 which is a great deal any way you look at it. Get 8, it's the best $10 you'll spend on detailing. They also have microfiber covered round sponges, 2 for $1.50. I bought a bunch but haven't tried them. Should be equally good, though.



For wipe downs i use microfiber mitts.
