can't get sap off

You answered my question with a question.

Yes I did.

Do either of these proudcts harm auto paint?

If so how?

There is no indication on either product warning against use

on paint

There were no ill effects on the paint job.

Please advise GH

If I remember correctly, Simple Green also claims to be environment friendly when it really isn't. There was a thread a while ago where a certain forum member (who had a habit of winning Jaguar National Concours events) used SG on the rims of his Audi and after a year the finish became dull. It was a slow process that wasn't noticeable (otherwise he wouldn't have used it for a year). It became VERY noticeable after he was able to compare his rims to the rims of another Audi with the same rims.

Now, I'm sure you're not going to use SG on your body paint every week like you would with rims, but it sounds like SG isn't something you'd want to use to remove sap.

3M General Adhesive Cleaner or 3Mâ„¢ Automixâ„¢ Super Fast Adhesive Cleaner?

Does it make a difference?

It's impossible to tell w/o comparing ingredient labels, but there are so many solvents out there that if a company makes more than 1 type, it must be a different product. Just from the names, I'd expect the super fast cleaner to be stronger and more likely to damage the paint.
