Can't Get it Off!

I came out this morning and found a nice little wonderful gift one of the neighborhood birds left on my new car hood.

After carefully removing the remnants with Turtle Wax bug and tar remover and a micro fiber towel, I discovered the poop left a stain on the surface.

I tried taking pic's of it from every angle but the camera won't show it, here it is anyway.

To describe what it looks like, it looks like blotched glue that won't come off.
Any suggestions on what to do or how to get it off? :(
Thanks.

Dispatch- Is it an above (sitting on top of the paint) or below (etched into the paint) surface issue? Might need to inspect under magnification to determine which it is, hope it's not deep etching.

I don't understand how it could have taken hold so fast.
It wasn't there last night so it could only have been on there for a few hours.
I fear it may be the acid in the bird's poop but if so it amazes me it damaged it so quickly.

That's why it's imperative to keep your paint well waxed/sealed/coated. This will act as a sacrificial barrier against the bird crap. Depending on what the bird ate (acid) it may or may not etch into your clear.

1. what lsp was on your paint?

2. I would machine spot-polish the paint using a DA, mf pad and +- 1500 grit rated compound/polish for 1-2 mins and see what you get. it should be better or no effect whatsoever.

I don't know.

Is there any other way of getting it off than using compound and a machine?

No one has more LSP on their car than me, and I still had a bird bomb etch recently. Normally I just blot, then take away the poop, and you can't tell it ever happened. I guess it depends on what the bird has been eating and of course the species. Tried apc, then compound, to no avail. Rubbing your finger over the etch, it's like it's not there, like it's under the paint.

Sometimes we're just not ahead of mother nature.

I'm so pissed because I just bought a new car cover which would have eliminated this from happening but I was waiting for the rainy weather to stop so I could wash it again and then cover it.

Poorboys Pro polish if its a stain.
By hand I'm not sure what you should use to polish it with. A foam applicator may work though with a little elbow grease.

Pick yourself up some Poorboys Bird Sh#t remover too for the next splatter.

Try a little clay first in case you're just dealing with above the surface contaminates, then you could hand polish the area to determine if you need to go more aggressive. Look at it this way: If you can't get it to show up in a pic, then it can't be that bad.. (yeah, I know. I don't know if I believe that last part either, no matter how slight if it's there it will bother you to no end).

you may have to sand OP. try a good mid-range compound first and see if it cuts it far enough, if not you would want to do maybe 2500 grit and then 3000 grit. I wouldn't go up to 2000 unless you have to.

you may have to sand ...

IF it really is etching (does kinda sound that way) and *IF* it bothers you *that* much.

Might want to do something to neutralize the guano ASAP, failed to mention that yesterday, sorry. The acids can continue to eat into the clear even after "normal" cleaning.

I just went out in the getting darker evening light to see if I could get a better angle shot of it but I swear its like it has just disappeared.

Could this be possible?

I can't locate it now no matter how close I look, even with a magnifying glass, I will take another look at it tomorrow in the high noon sun.
