After having booked this detail in November Nick and I finally got to meet on Friday night when he dropped his car off for some much needed love.
After waxing lyrical (pun intended  ) for about an hour over the best way forward we settled on a 1-step correction. As soon as he left I got cracking removing the stickers off the car. The halogens were used to generate some heat and soften the glue. I then used a plastic razor to lift the corners of the stickers and gently pulled them off. The remaining residue was dealt with on Saturday during the tar removal process.
I then worked on the interior (compressed air blow out / vacuum / leather cleaned using Cyclo APC / conditioned using Glossworx Leather Conditioner) until calling it a night around 22:00, with thoughts of how to deal with this the next day on my mind (one of the biggest bird bomb etchings I have seen)
And another nasty one on the roof
<span>Saturday 06:00 to 20:30 and Sunday 06:30 to 15:00
Before getting to work I took some pics - the car has been washed the previous day.
The sun then decided to make a short-lived appearance allowing me to capture some of the defects
Time to start detailing :troll:
Arches: Cyclo APC / Mothers Fender Well Brush / HP Rinse / Chemical Guys Bare Bones

Tar removal : Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover
Remaining Contaminants : Autoglym Fine Grade Clay / Carways Mist and Wipe
Glass : Autoglym Fine Grade Clay / Carways Mist and Wipe / Autoglym Glass Polish, LC White CCS Pad (polishing was done not to remove swirls, but rather to polish off the layer of grime that invariably builds up on the glass)
Paint correction : Menzerna PF2500 / LC Tangerine Pad
B-pillar/Tail light correction: Menzerna PF2500 / LC White Pad / Menzerna SF4000 / LC Black Pad
Paint and glass protection : Menzerna Powerlock
Door rubbers, plastic trim : Shield Heavy Duty Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner / Smartwax Smart Dressing
The only 50/50 I managed
Exhaust tips : Mothers Mag and Aluminium Polish /Mothers Power Ball mini
Although the engine bay had never been part of the scope of the detail, I just had to give it a quick clean up.
After blowing out with compressed air, using various brushes and some Cyclo APC on a few cloths I dressed it with Chemical Guys Bare Bones. Now that looks a little more presentable.
A quick pic while the car was still in the garage (Once again the weather was looking like it could rain so I didn't want to take the car out before Nick arrived)

But once he did I managed to snap these quick pics before he left.
total time spent = 26 hours
Thanks for looking and as always and comments or questions are welcomed.
