Can you guess what this defect is?

Have you tried heat? Have come across similar before where it looked like moisture trapped. Used a hot air gun to gently heat up the panel and the marks vanished. May or may not help but you got nothing to lose, the car we worked on was a Gallardo!! So it can happen on anything I suppose

I had issues that looked *exactly* like that on a (brand new, I unwrapped it) Dark Green Metallic '95 Cadillac STS. It seemed to be some issue between the basecoat and the clear and nothing I tried would fix it.



The dealer and GM both refused to do anything and I sold the car over it with just a few hundred miles on the clock :(
 
I've seen odd spots like this caused by car covers that trapped moisture. The defect was sub-surface and not a thing could be done about it. However, the cases I've seen were much larger areas, not this spotted effect.
