Can you believe this?

Reminds me of that animated commercial with the guy riding in the bouncy pickup and it ended up stealing all of his change :lol

Honestly though, that is rediculous.

And to make it worse I forgrot to take any after pictures b/c I got in a rush, on a car like this an after picture is a must.

Thats disgusting. I bet it smelled just as bad as it looked. I hate cars like that, makes me want to just add to the mess by tossing my lunch up.

I have 3 kids and yes they make a mess, but in this case I say its not only them. I see old parking lot tickets, hotel sundaries, coffe surgar bags, pens, reciepts and all types of other crap. I say this owner is just a slob. Also I agree that its how you teach your kids. Sure my kids drop tissue and crumbs in the car, but its not like my sisters car which the rear seats and carpet feels sticky.

The kids are absolutely NOT to blame, the parents are. My daughter is 4.5 and you could take all the things she's ever dropped and they would all fit in the palm of your hand. I could take a pic of my wife's Odyssey right now and you would see what I mean. It's not up to Autopian standards right now but it's nothing like the aforementioned detail.

lol...how long did that clean up take?

that is disgusting i NEVER would let my car get that bad...no kids, not married (don't plan to either :sosad lol)...but i have a dog...i vaccuum at LEAST once every 2 weeks if i feel it's getting a little bad...

Well that part alone it took about 20 minutes to pull it all out by hand and vacuum. I didn't scrup or degrease it just threw it out and put the seat back.

Yeah, then when you're not looking they'll draw on the car with a stick or something.

I bet you're hawking over your son when he's detailing, but leave him on his own and see what he does to the car.

My kids were taught from an early age to respect my cars. They aren't allowed in the garage (their bicycles are on the porch) and they don't play in driveway when the cars are parked there. They are careful about opening the car doors in parking lots and when they are allowed to eat in the car they clean up their mess afterwards and are careful not to spill anything. If something is spilled it's cleaned up right away.

They were taught not to touch, lean on or further molest any car. One time my son (then 5 years old) wrote his name on my car and my reaction wasn't pretty. Needless to say he doesn't touch it now.

It's about respect. If you teach kids to respect other people and property they pick that up. Most kids want to do the right thing but they have to taught what the right thing is. The problem these days is that the parents often don't care enough to teach them.

The Lexus in this post is a perfect example. Obviously the parents don't give a damn about their $50K car so the kids probably don't either. I once detailed an LS400 and found dried up tomato sauce all over the rear carpeting. I'm still amazed that I was able to get it out.

:D Your sister too? My sister has 3 kids. A few years back she had a Mercury Villager minivan that was absolutely filthy. Baby formula and milk spilled all over the seats and carpeting and was never cleaned up. On a hot day that car reeked of sour milk and old diapers. I absolutely refused to ride in her car. It was disgusting. :shocked

Right now our family car is dirty from winter driving and in need of a spring detail. I've been busy with *my* car but it's next on the list.

Too funny!

I've had to pull up seats too. I once pulled enough trash out of a Suburban to fill 3 plastic grocery bags and just the crap they kept in it stretched the entire length of the Suburban and was about 2' high and 2' wide piled up in their garage.

:werd: I have a customer who picks up her kids from school when I am there and when she gets back, her kids take all their stuff out of the Escalade with them. Even vacuuming it is a breeze because they've taught their kids to be considerate of their vehicles.

That's a really nasty looking mess. I'm amazed at how bad some people will let their vehicles get. It looks as if both kids and adults were regularly making trash deposits under the seats. I'm suprised that the seats didn't beging to bulge up!

WOW!! and i thought all those nasty pet hair, dirty brown socks, ginger ale cans, M & m bags in my neighbors car was a mess! bet you had an awesome time cleaning all that nasty crap up! lol. and yeah, kids are really not to be blamed, the parents are. im 15 and i keep the car cleaner than any adults in my family!! im still wondering though, how did they stick all that under the seat? did they pull up the seat and stuff everything in it like a garbage can?
