Can White Cars Look WET??

I have a brand new accord v6MT, 1 week old... White.



If I was to use zaino? or another high quality wax... I know black looks great when zainoed/waxed... but can a white car have that deep wet look??

Sure they can. I've got a white car and I've tried a zillion products to get it to have that wet look. It is definitely possible. I've got a good one with Blackfire on it that makes it look wet. I'll have to find it and post it. Check the link in my signature for some ok pictures. This is a good one with several coats of Klasse on it.

Its harder to get a white car to look good, but its possible. It takes the right combination of products. The best way I've found to do it is to get a good 4 or 5 layers of Klasse on the bottom and then top it with a few coats of a good carnauba wax. The Klasse gives it that glossy polished rock look and the carnauba softens it to a wet shine. It works great for me.
 
Yes, you can achieve the WET look with white. This QX4 has 2 coats of Klasse SG and 1 coat of S100 wax on it. Also the paint was well-prepped with a dawn wash, clay magic, another dawn wash, then the Klasse. :bounce

Yup. :) It's a daily driver so it has some issues like door dings and stuff like that, but that doesn't mean that it isn't going to blind you if you look at it in the direct sunlight. :D

But if all these other proud-white-car-owners are gonna show off, you know I have to show off my baby too. :cool: If you can photoshop-out the trophies for me, I'll use the trophyless version in the future. :dance This just happens to be the nicest photo I've taken of her. Honest!
 
I've used AOI and S100 and it looks great eventhough it is a daily driven and not garaged.I think you will be happy with that combination.I'm going to also try topping AOI with Platinum UPP.
 
I don't think you can get white to look "wet" as there is no depth to the color. But with polishing and the right products you can get it to look "reflective" as you can see in the pics above. The problem with white is that there is no added dimension that offers that 3D look people associate with darker colors. That doesn't make white a bad color, just different. And your expectations of white might need recalibrating for you to be happy with the results.



Just some thoughts.

Wish I could get the software for my new digital camera to work so I could show you the very wet look on my truck after using Poorboy's EX. I didn't know white could look this good......but it would be hard to out-do ANY of the pics above. It must be all in the preparation and well prepped paint will respond to any of the quality products recommended by the folks on this site.
 
White can look very glossy and reflective, but obviously won't look as deep as dark colors. A synthetic or polymer with a carnuba topper seems to make white look the best.



This is off the back end of a Dodge Ram 1500 that I used Final Polish and S100 on.
