can i polish/wax my car with my hands using a simple pad?

You may find the following regimen helpful. I posted it over at the S2000 forum and have amended it slightly.

What you need:

1) A good car wash: Meguiar's Gold Class, Duragloss 901, Griot's.

2) Good quality microfiber towels: I get mine at PakShak but I'm sure that those sold by other companies are good, too.

3) Clay Bar: I use Meguiar's clay bar but Mother's clay bar will work just fine.

3) An All-in-One sealant: Duragloss 501, Zaino All-in-One (ZAIO), Klasse All-in-One (ZAIO).

4) A good wax or sealant: I love carnauba waxes on black. My favorite is Victoria Concours Red. Other good carnaubas are: Chemical Guys' 50/50, P21S 100%, Collinite 915, Harly Wax. The problem with carnauba waxes is that you have to re-wax every 6-8 weeks. Synthetic sealants typically last longer. My favorite is Blackfire Wet Diamond. Other good sealants are: Menzerna Power Lock, HD Poxy, Collinite 845, Finish Kare 1000p, Duragloss 105. A coat of sealant should last you 12-16 weeks. Of course, it all depends on the environment and what your car is exposed to.

5) Foam applicators: these are much better for applying waxes and sealant than the microfiber applicators that you find at local auto stores. You will probably need to order them online.

You will want to wash your car every couple of weeks (more frequently if it needs it).

Twice a year clay your car. The clay bar will remove above-surface contaminants. You'll be surprised by all the stuff it will pull off your paint.

After you clay the car, apply your AIO sealant. The AIO will clean the paint and remove dirt, water spots, and other stuff that the clay bar can't remove. It will also provide a durable layer of protection.

Wait 12 hours then top the AIO with your chosen wax/sealant. Apply a fresh coat of wax/sealant (after washing) whenever you think it needs to be renewed.

If you stick with this simple (and doable) regimen, I guarantee that your car will look good year round.

Good strategy for sure.

I was trying to limit the amount of additional things he needs to acquire and work with what he already has. Bey is in Turkey and has to import everything and anything he needs. I was trying to be considerate of his $$$ outlays. I don't think he can pop down to the local auto parts store for the things we take for granted.

Thanks for the clarification. I did not realize that the OP lived in Turkey and therefore did not have access to the products we take for granted here in the States.
