Can I go to Po85rd next?

Last Night I used SIP on an orange pad to pretty good success on my black 07 911. Can I go straight to PO85rd on a White pad next or do I have to go to 106ff before? The sip left the somewhat hazy. I'd rather skip the 106ff if possible just to save time. I was using pc by the way.

Heck yes you can. I go M105/Orange LC(which is stronger than SIP) right to 85rd/White LC on soft black Porsche paint all the time w/o problem.

Yeah, that and M105 are pretty much all I like or should I say need to use these days. I love when M205 will finish out nice, but way too many times 85rd out performs it for finishing.

It is strange how different people get different results. I am used to people say with soft paint, skip the PO85rd and reach for the PO87 which I a believe is FPII.

FPII really isn't capable of chasing any remnants of compounding. On softer paints, FP would be a good choice.

I have better results following M105 up with 106FF(A) than 85rd, but it does come at the cost of a bit of final gloss.
