Camera's---what do you guys use?

I want to get a PC polisher. That much I know. What I don't know is whether I should get the CMA pad kit... or buy the pads from Griots... or what. Also, which is the most convenient to get... the 7336 or the 7424??? :confused:
 
I have the 7424 from Coastal Tool (internet) and really like it., The

other you can get at Lowes. I bought my pads at CMA and also like them very much. I do not have any from the other place...

I bought the 7336 from Lowe's for $109, which is a better deal than any 7424 available on the internet, even more so when shipping charges are considered. I have seen the 7424 for $115, but the 7336 from Lowe's is still a better deal. It's also great because the 7336 is a sander, which I've used to sand down tables and doors, so it is dually beneficial with the CMA pad kit that I ordered. The CMA pad kit is great, and it comes with the velcro backing plate and a variety of great pads, though the terry bonnets are worthless. I used this month's 15% discount, so if you hurry you will basically be able to negate the shipping charges; but hurry, because the discount ends in a couple of days! I have no expierence with the pads from Griot's, but from what I've heard, most people use either the CMA pads or the Meguiar's. Personally, I love the CMA pads. Happy polishing:cool:
 
I notice with my camera shots they always look rough and crappy around the edges. Things never seem to be really crisp. Plus Im trying to pull together pictures for my website. Even though I have nearly 2500 pictures of the cars I've done maybe 30 are decent enough to host :( So I am on the hunt for a new camera. A tripod is a must with whatever I get. Im not the most computer literate person in the world and I have never used photoshop. I would like to get something that I can change out the lens as well. Unfortunately at the moment I have about a 3-350 budget. Even if one of you guys has a used camera, send me the info in a pm :p

Any input here would be greatly appreciated!

I hate to be that guy, but this is posted in the wrong section. but I use the Nikon D3000 for my crisp shots, maybe a Moderator can move it to the right section for you. that way more people will chime in.:thumbup:

I don't own it but have some Friends that do look into the new Nikon coolpix S8100 right around your price range and also takes HD movies .Plus its had some great reviews .

A digital SLR can make a huge difference in picture quality. For an even bigger difference, get a D-SLR and start learning about photography and the adjustments you can make to a DSLR and how that will affect your picture outcome.

We have an entry level DSLR ourselves; a Sony A200. Any entry level DSLR should fit in your price range and allow for better pictures. Canon and Nikon are the two most popular brands. As a head's up, it is pretty well taught that you're better off with a cheaper camera body with great lenses than a great body with a cheap lens.
 
I was playing around with new Sony and i got to tell you it just awesome but very pricey if things pick up i may put it on my want list if not the Nikon S will be my second choice. Take a look at the new Sony Nex line if you want to check out some new pocket size cameras but have interchangeable Len's.

I've been shooting with Pentax SLR/DSLR's for 15 years and I've always been happy with my camera bodies and lens. The new entry level bodies (K-x & K-r) are fantastic and handle low light situations so nicely now. Good luck with your search, let me know if you have any questions about Pentax stuff.

Unless you want to get serious about photography, I'd stay away from the SLR's. You have moving parts that fail after a while, dust that can get on the sensor, on the mirror, in the viewfinder, large expense, etc.

The Canon G10/G11 has some great image quality.

The best way to improve your image quality is to learn to:

1) Take better pictures ( composition, lighting, etc )
2) Learn to adjust contrast, white balance, etc using good software like Adobe Lightroom
