Camaro SS vs. Z06 - It still a toss up *Sweet Vid*

I would never run an "octane booster" type of product. First of all, like Zane said, they just don't work that great. Second, why would anyone in their right mind want to have to spend the extra money and go through the extra effort of carrying them around and adding them every time ya filled up. No thanks.

On a side note... some dyno sheets are surfacing for the '06 Z06 and I've seen numbers that would indicate as high as 530 hp at the crank. It's a serious engine in a serious car.

i thought these ls7's were high compression how could he blow it with a 100 shot? :dissappointed:

Well, that's exactly part of the reason why he WOULD blow it. High compression does not lend itself well to any form of forced induction. Low compression is better with a blower, turbo, nitrous, etc.

Higher compression is best suited for NA applications.

Out of all the power adders, nitrous would be the best choice for a high compression motor, but it still requires proper tuning, etc. to ensure safety. There's a lot more to it than just slapping on some nitrous and having a fast car.

Hmm... well maybe I don't know what I'm talking about for once :D Either way, the guy was a dunce for running N20 on his brand new Z06.
