Camaro/Challenger or Mustang

I would have to go with the Camaro cause I'm a GM guy and like the looks of it. I will say the NEW Stang are nice looking but I would still take a Challanger over the Stang. I would wait till GM comes out with the Z28 next year to buy a Camaro.

Challenger! :notworthy:

Looks better/meaner than the other two (IMO). The first time I saw one in person I seriously couldn't stop gawking.

The Camaro just doesn't look substantial enough, and the styling is a tad busy (although that's not to say that it isn't a good looking car).

The Mustang is just a "me too!" car.

I've never driven any of them, so my opinion is based purely on the way they look.

Just my $0.02

Not a Ford guy. Not a Dodge guy.

Process of elimination. Camaro.

(If you're going for the SS... for a couple thousand more you could have a Vette!!!)

I have been behind the wheel of all three and I would have to vote for the Mustang. It may not be the best looking (IMO that goes to the Camaro) but if you are looking for a drivers car the Mustang wins from the available choices you listed

I bleed blue, so what do you expect. However when I look at the cost and what not I see the mustang as the best pick. Yeah it lacks the hp of the camaro and challenger, but they are boats and weight accounts for a lot. With the money you saved buying a mustang, spend 500 on a tuner and tune (93 bama race tune) and show them camaros what this little 3v can do

Also if you are willing to wait ford has a new power plant on the way. It is said to put down around 400/400 hp/tq wise and keep the weight in the same range as the current 3v mod engine. RETURN OF THE 5.0 :drool5:

Mustang!

I have driven both the Camaro and Mustang. The Camaro looks good but the interior is plain compared to the 2010 Mustang. The Mustang GT sounds really cool too!

Camaro - stunning appearance, superb drivetrain, the driver is an afterthought.

Challenger - equally good looks with a sound to match - man, does it sound good - but the design team has never heard of a corner.

Mustang - not as sexy as the other two, but the one I'd pick to drive.

I like the looks of the Camaro but wouldn't just because its hard to say what will happen at Government Motors (GM) in the next couple years. My preference after owning lots of Fords would be the Mustang, but I would want the Shelby - aside from the mechanical upgrades the aero package is sweet.

I somebody who is die hard Chevy guy.... I would take the Mustang and here is why...

The Challenger- This is a tie (with the Camaro) for the best looking IMO. But the truth is that (after driving one) it is a Charger that looses some functionality. It's a very big (full sized) cool car... I seriously felt like it was bigger then the BMW 7 Series next to me at the light (and the 7 Series could probably take me in a race as well).

The Camaro- It is probably the best looking car from a distance, but up close it is WAY TOO BIG!!! IMO, it has the best interior, although that isn't saying much because all three seemed to have wanted to add some elements of the muscle car feel to the inside. A pistol grip shifter is nice, and gauge pods are neat, but in general real muscle cars had terrible interiors. A sweeping speedometer, a tach on the steering wheel, and typical 60's materials and features. I have never sat in any muscle car (ever) and thought, wow this is a beautiful interior. GM at least (in my eyes) gave the Camaro interior some thought besides, let's make it look old.

Performance, as expected, goes to GM. Seriously, the Mustangs haven't been competitive since 1993 in this aspect, and the gap has widened. Even with the new 5.0L coming out, I doubt this will close the gap significantly (it just seems that even when the Chevy and Ford advertise similar horsepower the Chevy is always faster).

The Mustang- My choice in this field. Second best interior IMO, and last in the looks department from a distance. Not the fastest in any regard, yet it still is the funnest to drive, the easiest to see out of, and most importantly...

It's a not an overweight, over sized slob of a car....

In the day (60's) their where two types of performance cars (not counting Corvettes/Exotics): Pony cars and Muscle Cars. Or smaller mid-sized cars vs. full sized cars...

The problem with Camaro/Challenger is that they are full sized cars that are pretending to be pony cars, but present all the problems (not fun to drive IMO) of a full sized car with none of the leg room. I don't want a large car, I want a fun to drive, sporty car, that puts a smile on my face every time I drive it...

And for me that's a Corvette, but in this competition it's a Mustang.
