Califorinia vs OXO Duster

There are no "pro's" when they scratch your car.

Same here, Bryan.

I kinda hate to comment on this subject, as it seems to be a topic that, whenever it's been brought up in the past, turns in to a "They Scratch!", "No They Don't!" flame fest.

Risking the flames, my opinion is that anytime you drag a contaminant (anything on your paint) across it, you are marring it to some degree. Whether you are washing, QDing, California Dusting.. whatever. If you are dragging particles across your paint, it is scratching it. If you're lucky, those scratches won't be noticeable. However, they will build up over time, and you'll see them as spider webbing and swirls.

I plan on using it for removing light dust that builds up after a few days after a wash. My intention is that it will save me time and help preserve a clean car look longer than just leaving it. I live in NYC and it is dirty here with all the trucks and cars passing by, this is why these products appealed to me. So most of u have the california? any comments on the oxo (it cost more)?

California duster for me. I've used it DAILY on my black paint for the last year and a half with great results. Just use your better judgement. I use it daily to ensure the dust is light enough to be dusted without harming the paint. It can be done.

I've had both the wood handled CCD and the OXO and I prefer the OXO. It seems to pick up more dust and release it more readily than CCD. I try to use these things sparingly, mostly during the pollen season when I can't wash and the car just too yellow.
