If you select multi quote on the bottom right of each post then new reply at the end of the thread on the bottom left it makes a bit easier to reply to multiple people at once. Good to see another Nick Murray fan.

You are right, it has been too hot lately! I feel a completely waterless car wash is not practical; I have to rinse away away the dirt with one good spray-- otherwise the dust particles grind into surface.

Sounds like other people are happy with their rinseless solutions. I'm just cautious to test out.

It's tough keeping a car clean out here. I work in the trucking industry, and have a minimal of 900 trucks pass by my car everyday- along with it the dust and who knows what that it drags along.

The good news, is we are getting a small break this week with slightly cooler temps. Looks like next week will heat back up. My approach has been washing at a self wash, then quik detail at home after drying. It's about the only thing I can do.

I'm cautious as well, a lot of people use these types of washes without issues. As mentioned earlier I'm not a fan of ONR, while a friend loves the stuff. He has a single stage Miata with very very soft paint.

The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. Well, the paint coat itself maybe different (Mostly in terms of hardness/scratch resistance) except special CC's like Nissans scratch shield (Sp?) but what I was referring to is an actual coating that you or a professional can apply. Semi-permanent coatings provide an actual physical barrier, rather then synthetic like most waxes. This will actually stop abrasives like dirt from bonding to the paint, thus making cleaning WAY easier! (Yes, a lot us may be perfectionists but we are all, lazy like everyone else.)

I hope this helps, I know how tough CA is about water.
