C-Quartz, GTechniq, and "the cleanest GTI" : Stepping up our game by AutoLavish

What are you guy's using on that VW wheel well carpet! Always a PITA to keep clean, APC and pressure washer is what I've been using somewhat marginal results.

[Insert usual :bow regarding MarcHarris's work here...]

MarcHarris- Hey, great attention to detail :xyxthumbs And a good example of using the right products and approaches for each job.

And that's some *great* documentation! You guys must really have your [stuff] sorted out to be able to take such good work-in-progress pix without it interfering with the workflow! Great job, thanks for sharing it.

Oh, and I have those same sockets...heh heh, not often that Griot's gets credit for something like that being worth the money, but yeah, those are super.

Oh#2, nice to see my pals at ECS got some business too (the wheel spacers)!

Thank you! Means a lot coming from the legendary Accumulator. Having two people makes capturing photo-ops much easier, and those Griot's sockets are certainly worth the money IMO!

Luckily for us, this car was new enough that it hadn't gotten too bad yet. That stuff is truly a mess: I wish VW wouldn't use that cheap crap on their cars.

Wow, nice job and write-up! Y'all really went nuts on this one! :)

Thanks a lot as always Scott. Hope all is well down in the heat, and I hope the huge TX drought ends sooner than later.

Alright guys..........you have the skills..................now go get a shop so you can do your magic without "Feezing your balls off". Big League correction right there..........well done!!.

Stunning work, Marc, Jacob and Tim! That's a marathon detail right there. And as always, the write-up and photography complement the work performed.

Heh... there are cheaper ways than a shop to keep the "freezeness off the balls," Bob.... ;)

Please share the total pricetag for this surgery. A job like this really opens the market for an auto health care insurance industry.

Wait, you mean you didn't know the auto bailouts were part of the Obamacare package? ;)

Crazy effort. Nice work! Seems like the owner went for a detail that's a little over the top for what's probably a regularly driven run of the mill VW but to each his own.

Do you guys have a drain in your garage that allows you to wash vehicles in there?
