Busts, Boasts and Everything Else...

Well, we can play this game Ad infintium...I'll disagree with you in a big way. :StarWars: These lists are generally just rarely informative. There seems to be an equal number of people willing to bash a product as to praise one, and it is the absolute rare occasion that any back-up information is included with the statements. So other than *entertainment value*, these threads are not all that useful as a source of information.

I've been doing this for a while now, and as I've already stated I've encountered just very few product *busts* as in the product just did not perform. To hold a product to some unreasonable performance criteria based on an internet poster's ludicrous claims is just ridiculous. Now if I used that as a judging criteria, then I could claim a lot of busts, but that would not be factual.

As the poster correctly noted, perception is often everything.

To answer your question Mr. Clean, I was unimpressed with it (Meg's Deep Crystal Wash) in the sense that it didn't clean as well as I had hoped. Also, after using Optimum Car Wash for a while and then going back to MDCW, I found that the Meg's product didn't offer the same lubricity, if you will, as OCW. It also didn't keep it's bubbles, stay foamed, whatever you want to call it, as long as the Optimum product did. I like foamy products beacause in my eyes, they help to encapsulate dirt and grime and lessen the risk of marring the paint. Also, the Optimum product smells awesome!! Everytime I smell it, I want to take a swig from the bottle. lol. Finally, I like the fact that if the soap dries and streaks before I get a chance to dry it, I can easily remove those streaks with ONR QD. Sometimes it was a bit of a struggle to get rid of the streaks that Meg's left behind.

I agree. Meg's Gold Class Car Wash, on the other hand, is excellent. I would say... twice as good.

Interesting that when I see Meg's GC and Meg's Deep Crystal, on the store shelf, side by side... the Deep Crystal is EXACTLY HALF the price of the Gold Class. Hmmmmmmmmm.....

Thanks for the clarification.

Follow up on the Optimum wash, is streaking a common occurence?

I like the Meg's GC shampoo as well. In fact just recently became reacquainted with the product after a long absence. Performed admirably, and was reasonably priced at $6/64 oz. jug. I can't seem to find my invoice for my last gallon jugs of DG 901, but that seems to compare favorably.
