Anyone else every get tired of talking about detailing?

Sometimes I wonder why I visit the forums multiple times each day. What about you?

Not yet. I learn something every day...sometimes multiple things. Wife and kids always saying "he's on the computer again talking to his car friends". :rofl

I've been burned out on detailing in general for years. This particular forum never really gets old, but the Facebook groups make me want to cancel my internet service most of the time.

Comes in waves with me. Most of the time I like to offer my opinion or experience. But like with anything their are times I just don't have it in me.

One thing that I will say about this site in general...from the days I started posted while it was Detail City to today...It's always been very well run..unlike some sites that I post and or read on...that are car and non car related. People can be rude, a bunch of smart a$$ answers and generally idiots at times. I've never seen that here

Thanks

Yes. I have to take a break from time to time. Just walk away & do something else. I have tried to stop completely, but I can't. It is like in my DNA

What else am I suppose to do with my free time. Spend it with my friends & family?!?!?

I concur which is why I no longer do it. It's all I can do to keep our two cars half-ass presentable. I do enjoy the forums but as the age & weight creeps up the act of physically detailing (in South Texas heat & humidity) goes farther to the wayside. It's just not as important as it used to be.

I first thought this was about Kahuna burnout already...When I get going, I usually keep on going.

Valid emotion for sure. It's about balance. Other hobbies, other sites, etc.
I occasionally get frustrated that I will spend a few hours deciding what polish to buy, and in the end, all I'm doing is making a car shiny. I try to pull back and forget about a certain hobby for a while.

In the end, Natty's Blue vs Pete's 53 don't mean jack sh#t if you can't look back and say you had some fun or learned something you can use or pass on.
