Bumpers for a bug shield?

This may seem like a strange question, but is there anywhere I can purchase just the little rubber bump-stop (or cushion pad, if you prefer) pieces for installing a hood shield? I need to take mine off for the body shop to do some work next week, and I have yet to find replacements, even looking in AutoZone and Advance Auto Parts. Anyone know where these can be found?

Single sided stick rubber tape might be an answer....I used that on a customers car once that had no bumpers between the hood and the plastic bug guard.....Did I understand your question right?

Yeah, you did. I just don't know that the tape would work quite as well since it wouldn't be nearly as thick. Here's what I'm talking about:

The tape certainly may work, I just don't know how well by comparison. :)

We have a ACE Hardware here and they stock all kinds of nuts, bolts, fasteners, stops, etc......they have little dimples like that.or a sub could be those bumpers like for the bottom of a lamp or the likes of that...do you have one of those type of stores? or maybe an Arts & Crafts type of store...then I would imagine some Super Glue or Epoxy styled glue to attach...what do you think?

True. I'd thought about that, but I wasn't sure if these were made out of any kind of "special" material. I suppose all I can do is give it a shot. :)
