Bumper Painted - Pit's and Bits

I just had my bumper repainted. There are some spots where these is a slight pit or vice versa, a small bump.



I'm not familiar with what goes on during painting, but is this normal and should the dealer have polished it out ? I can understand possibly wetsanding the bump and then polishing those imperfections out but what about the *dips*. When I say dips, it's like a small crater in the finish that's noticable by eye.

The craters are fisheye it sounds like, the surface wasnt free of contaminants. The bumps sound like trash in the finish. If either of these problems are in the base coat, you are screwed. If they are in the clear coat, they can be eliminated, or made ALOT better with someone who is competent in wetsanding and buffing. Even in a very clean spray booth, you will get a small amount of trash.

plastic bumbers when painted require some kind of primer or base for the paint to bond to plastic of body shopes do it wrong then it bubbles and peels after a couple months.

Anyone have any good pics of examples of fisheye. It's like a small dimple in the paint. At first glance, it looks like a bump but when you examine it closer and feel it, it's definately recessed.
