I am curious if, when used as a pre-wash, bugsquash will remove wax from the surface being pre-treated. I noticed, after using it on my acura, that the surface seemed less slick. I might have just been in need of a detail but i just did kaio and ksg in sept. Yes i did use a topper when i did it but i know that was long gone. The only other thing i noticed was less beeding action but i know that is not always an indicator of wax condition. Any response is greatly appreciated.
 
I've used bug squash a few times as a pre-soak and it did not seem to negatively affect the beading. I, too, had been skeptical but there had been so much talk on the boards about how great bug squash is for pre-soak and no one mentioned removing LSPs.

I did buy and try the Eagle One Wash in a Bucket, which specifically says it will not remove LSP, so I used it as a pre-soak and I was very happy with the outcome. $5 for a bottle that says it will last through 60 cars, and based on how much I used for my single wash, the 60 is not too far out of reach.

For me, I'm going to keep my Bug Squash for bugs, and use the Eagle One product as a pre-soak.
 
I'm having trouble seeing how a solvent can not remove some wax. Nothing against the product, just received some, but it seems to me a reality.

I know, but the stuff seams to work well in that regard. I even sprayed 'many spirts' on each panel instead of the '1 or 2' they recommend. When rinsing the water sheeted off and beaded up real well.

Mmm, I hope you are right. I can't imagine how, but I'm sure it is true. I work with a pressure washer mostly, so "beading" doesn't really happen. The way the water sheets is an indicator. You'd really have to do 1/2 panel tests to know.
 
I would think it depends on how you dilute bug squash whether it strips wax or not. If you are heavy on the squash in the mix, I can see it stripping wax. I usually always go heavy on the squash because I dont ever seem to have problems with getting bugs of a waxed car with soap and water. Bug squash is an awesome product though. I use it with one of those yellow bug sponge things and havent had any stubborn bugs defeat the Squash and sponge team.
 
I pour SimpleGreen into pump sprayer, mix 1 part SG & 3 parts water. Spray windshield, rear view mirrors and frontend. Start washed like normal and bugs come off easy.
