I was recently cleaning the bugs off the front of my car after a long weekend roadtrip. After removing what I could with a regular hand washing I broke out the Stoners Tarminator bug and tar remover. I removed all but one small Dragon Fly looking creature. I worked and worked at it with no luck. I then decided to try some clay over that area. No help. The paint is completely smooth after claying so I am convinced this bug has left a perfect silhouette of himself stained into the clear(wings and all)
Is there any way to remove this short of using an abrasive? The car is fairly new and I don’t want to polish until maybe spring of next year.
If it is not possible what is the least aggressive stuff I can try with hopes of it working?
I have some SEPC I will try but I’m not very optimistic about its ability to remove this imperfection.
All input appreciated.
