Bringing Back Brake Calipers Finish

Does anybody have any advice on how to go about cleaning calipers to bring them back to their original look. Everyone knows how bad BMW brake dust is, and although my wheels look like new inside and out, no matter what I try my calipers have faded to brake dust black. Ive tried every degreaser and wheel cleaner I have, all at full strength and Ive made no progress.

Just for reference, heres a picture I found online of what they once looked like

And this is a bad picture from almost a year ago of what they look like, they are even worse now...

Im assuming there's no hope, but if anyone can help it would be appreciated :)

clean, prep, brake caliper paint

wile you have it apart put some real pads on there

the cost less, dust less and brake better

Forgot to mention, paint is not an option, and I have no problem with the stock pads. This is my daily, my money and time is better spent on my race car. Thanks though...

Well then I guess you are stuck with the shoddy looking calipers if your not going to spend 20$ for the paint and the 30 minutes to do it. That discoloration isnt from brake dust its from heat, you have probably just about baked off(and chemically destroyed from full strength degreaser) any coating that may have been on those from the factory, they are shot.
