'66 Corvette Convertible, Sunflower Yellow, 427/425, 4-spd, black guts, all original numbers matching. High Dollar Ride.
The car was very clean when I started on it... a few swirls and micromars to correct. But not too bad.
The worst part was the THIN PAINT!!! I had to be very careful around the high ridges on the fenders and the beltline.
There were also some areas that the paint was so thin that I could see the primer below it. A few stress cracks in the fiberglass, etc.
Paint is about 15 years old. Base/Clear.
Process:
Washed with QEW
Clayed with Meg's Quik Clay
PC 7424XP, M205, LC Orange, KBM
PC 7424XP, Zaino AIO, LC White
Applied Z8
Interior:
Vacuumed, cleaned seats with Z9, treated with Z10
Cleaned, wiped dash, door panels with 303
Wheels/tires:
Sprayed with Purple Power 50/50 water, scrubbed with a toilet brush, rinsed
Dressed tires with Chem Guys VRP
Engine: (It was pretty clean)
Sprayed and wiped with Sprayway Glass Cleaner
