Probably move up to a Cyclo first. As more of my customers get new cars with harder paints, I am sure eventually I will have to get a rotary.

I get zero since I turned off my PM's for that very reason. If anyone wants to know what products I like best, all that is in either my C&B threads or my gallery. When I get several PMs a day asking me step by step how to detail a car or what wax looks best, I just can't answer them all. I'd be typing answers all night.



I do appreciate the kind words, I've learned so much in the 4 1/2 years I have been here the least I can do is pass along what I have learned.



But I do have one question for you Scott, how do make Megs DACP work with a PC. With my very limited experience, it was very user UNFRIENDLY and I would think Opitium Hyper Compound (got some thanks to your recommendation, would be my answer to big problems). Does DACP work better with a Propel Pads, like a orange pad and not gum up. I used DACP with a yellow Megs pad and it did nothing for me and had problems of gumming up.

Use less. Less is more with DACP. The more open foam of the Propel pads does seem to work well with DACP but so do the yellow Meguiars polishing pads. You do get some product build-up but I scuff the pad with my fingernails then run the PC on the palm of my hand. Cleans it out very quickly.



Hyper cuts a bit quicker than DACP but doesn't seem as good on oxidized single stage paints, probably because it doesn't have the oils that Meguiars polishes have.



PS Is Megs Speed Glaze, VM, and Coolinte 845 all compatible?

I've used 80/VM and VM/845 on numerous occasions with excellent results. :)



Anthony-the referral seems to have worked out very well! I received a very nice e-mail from him along with the pictures he took.



acrl-I don't have enough experience with Menzerna products other than 106FF to have an opinion on how their entire line compares to Optimum. I think I am safe in saying both are superior quality product lines. :)

The boxster looks very wet and shiny even the photos were taken in the shade and the 944 is really a great transformation :bow .
 
Thanks for your feedback!!! (Where have I heard less is more before. Have to try DACP again but with less. I guess I was probably doing it all wrong, as I had taken a Meguiar's detail class and they said for Speed Glaze, don't be stingy with the product. I guess each product is different. I still am hoping the OP hyper compound will be my go to polish for bad swirls with clear coats, but at least I have an option (or knowlege to use the DACP) if I ever get any single stage work and I should try it again on clear coats too. (But OP products and PB products were less frustating, but I still haven't achieved the results I am looking for (Haven't used Hyper yet, but maybe I never will with a PC either on a 8 year old white Lexus paint).



Now can you do something about our rain on the weekends here in supposedly sunny CA, too many cancellations for my weekend projects with Patrick :(

I couldnt afford one, so I had to get a 944 wannabe,,,, a 1986 RX7!!

Next time it shouldn't need nearly as much initial polishing, may go with #80/#81 and finish with #16, or maybe even some #26.
