Bring back a single stage red Porsche 944, plus a Boxster and a Cayenne

Beautiful work Scott! I love the depth of ss paint! The Porshe almost looks plastic!! I bet the owner took it for a spin right after you got done with it! Nothing like driving a freshly detailed car!

Love the 951!! (944 Turbo) I've owned 2 such fun cars the Best Bang for the Buck Porsche...

Agree, though I prefer the NA models. I wouldn't mind a 944S2 or 968 someday! Great job on the cars, Scott!

Scott, when you go to a client's home to do the work, do you have to set up water reclamation?

Alos, I have seen in other posts that you polish then "wash residue" with car wash. Just so I am clear, you polish then buff off then wash off residue - what residue are you washing off? Thanks!

I've got a batch of JEFFS on the way to me, can't wait to use it - your results have been inspiring with it to say the least - that silver porsche is unreal considering the lighting. As always, very inspiring, and I so wish we had nice weather to work in - can't remember the last time I was able to work outisde all day long. :wall :D

Wow that 944 came out supreb :up I gotta agree with DACP #83, it work good on the old school SS paint, I d/k why thou, but it just work darn good I gotta say.

There is a nice one for sale on ebay right now. JAB Racing, whom built this one, has a good reputation with these cars. Also try Rennlist as several nice 951's come up from time to time.

BTW, nice work but then again I'm partial to Porsche 944 Turbo's (aka 951s). See avatar.

With Optimum No Rinse Wash, there is no need to reclaim water since I am only using a gallon and it get nowhere near the storm drains.

Not sure where you got I am using car wash to remove polish residue. When using Menzerna or Optimum, if I am not following with a glaze, I use Optimum Car Wax to remove the polish after buffing. Cleans the residue off and lays down protection at the same time.

To answer your other question, I use a PC.

quick question, how do you buff the top of the tahoe with all the groves and molding there?

The pads will form over the grooves and I move the racks back and forth to make sure I don't miss anything.

Amazing work as ussual!!

Sorry if you have already mentioned this, but do you only use a pc on your details?

Scott, thanks for you replies. one more question...What residue are you referring to when you said OCW "Cleans the residue off". Do you buff off the Menzerna before laying down OCW? Thanks!

2 posts above yours. ;)

thecarguy-I guess I am not being clear. I use OCW to buff off Menzerna and Optimum.

scottwax or anyone else for that matter, would you say that the optimum compound/polish combo is stronger than IP/FPII?

Amazing work Scott (again). I have admired your work for awhile, and have been tempted like others to PM you about your products and steps, but you pretty much share everything in your daily threads. Without sounding too kiss ***, you have inspired me to have a go at this business. Although I am going at this very slowly and Patrick at Excel is showing me the ropes right now.

But for new new autopians and/or new detailers, we really appreciate the time when people like Scottwax and Orsco, etc take the time to share their craft with us. To be honest, it has been hard, not to ask a bunch of questions or PM people like crazy, but for the most part, the answers are already there if you use the Search function. I can't imagine how many PM's these guys must get. Also after having done a few cars for $ with Patrick, I guessing the best way to learn is actually by just doing the work and by reading. But nothing beats experience with knowledge.

But I do have one question for you Scott, how do make Megs DACP work with a PC. With my very limited experience, it was very user UNFRIENDLY and I would think Opitium Hyper Compound (got some thanks to your recommendation, would be my answer to big problems). Does DACP work better with a Propel Pads, like a orange pad and not gum up. I used DACP with a yellow Megs pad and it did nothing for me and had problems of gumming up. Thanks for any help. And great work as usual Scott.

PS Is Megs Speed Glaze, VM, and Coolinte 846 all compatible?
