Breaking Zaino news...

is it the cost or pain of using ZFX that you do not like?

Just the fact I have to use it at all. I don't buy glues that have to be mixed either. Cost is the biggest issue when I can use other products that don't need an accelerator. Plus, I am not into layering so the ability to apply 3 layers in one detailing session doesn't matter to me.

Hey Scott, you may have missed this good news from the last page: :up

For those of us who also feel this way, I hope this might be helpful ... DetailersClub :idea
... with the New Z-AIO as a base, ZFX is Not Needed for Single applications of Z-2P OR Z-5P! ... edit: nevermind, I just realized ...

So let me see if I have this correct, the new process for Z with the new products would be:

Z7 wash

Clay

ZPC / ZAIO / Z1 (depending on severity of defects)

Z2 / Z5 (with ZFX if you want to add more than one layer on the same day)

Z6 (to remove smudges/light dust)

Z8 or CS (to refresh the Z2/Z5)

Does that order seem correct?

Yes that order would work, but because the CS has incredible durability from one application, you could cut out the Z5pro or Z2pro and do:

Z7 wash

Clay

ZPC / ZAIO / Z1 (depending on severity of defects)

Z6 (to remove smudges/light dust)

CS

CS is definitely not a booster or spray wax, but instead a long lasting sealant with durability exceeding that of Z5pro and Z2pro.

Interesting. So its more like AJT then (CS being a full fledged sealant).

I'd love to see a Prime + AJT vs. ZAIO + CS durability test. Hmmmmm....Picus, you up for it?

Where did this statement come from Greg?:shocked

Let not over-state what CS is or isn't until we have many real-world experiences.

Z2/5PRO will always be the staples of the Zaino system. Do not play these 2 items short.:bolt

Oops, Sorry about that, a little overzealous on my part. Only more time will tell the verdict of z5pro vs. ZCS.

Your absolutely right :hifive:

Finally, we got this back to being a fun thread!

When you're a Jett you're a Jett all the way, from your first little wipe to your last dying spray...

(Sorry, I can't remember any of the Zaino...er...Shark song) :D

I was under the impression that Z5 and Z2 pro versions could be used without the ZFX, just ZFX was supposed to make it so you could do 106 coats in 1 day. the original versions of Z2 and Z5 they "recommended" Z1 first for best durability but not required. just as the duragloss 601 and 105

am I wrong? I would like to try Z5 pro as I used the old versions years ago, but if it requires ZFX, I too choose not to buy the additional product

CS sounds cool, but sounds expensive. 4 oz bottle size surely 19.95 or so.
