Breaking Zaino news...

I totally agree with JohnnyDaJackal's observations! If Zaino CS allows a carnauba user to lock in the carnauba looks they prefer (ex. Souveran, P21S) and increase the durability by several months (1-2 to 3-4 as an example) I think this is an absolute breakthrough product. The ZAIO also sounds like it will be nice for those who do not want to use ZFX or for those looking for a quick one step product. I look forward to hearing more reviews and trying them.

Not so fast!

I may be tilting my cards.........but I’m already developing a product that will one-up any spray-on, walk-away sealant.

It’s a “touch-less sealant; and the coolest part is that it never even touches the surface of the car!!!

It’s a new Water-based, self-dissolving, synthetic polymeric, optical enhancing, advanced polymer ………….eye-drop.

Just two drops “one for Pirates will deliver an optically clear, mile-deep, mirror-like result on anything you look at, and it will last and last.

It also will remove swirls and of course it contains no abrasives (it goes in your eye…duh).

It contains UV-99 protection and you can instantly add layer after layer by just putting in more drops.

This stuff applies so quickly that we like to say….â€If you blink, you’ll miss itâ€, “Reallyâ€!

This Zaino CS really sounds like a breakthrough in the detailing community. I'm sure some people will be skeptical, and still favor other products too it, kinda like when sealants got big, but for me I'm definitely interested because for me it would save me so much time. I just ordered Zaino Z5 Pro, Z8 and ZFX with the intention of giving my car a nice detail and not having to worry about it. I actually planned on doing it today but just got too fatigue (I've had a terrible cold/pink eye) and ended up just slapping a coat of #21. If from what the beta testers are telling us is true; that CS looks as good as other Z products and durability is in the 3 month range I'll be selling all my other stuff off and just keep my PC, MF collection, Optimum Polish and Zaino CS.

I can see why DC got all worried about this thread because it sounds like it's going to put to shame all the products they sell/endorse :nervous2:

If Detail City members use these products those sponsors won't sell much of anything. I think a couple of guys over their had to change their underwear after reading about these products.

I find that to be quite ironic coming from a guy who says it takes too much effort to mix in a few drops of ZFX into the Z5 or Z2 polish.

 Just like it was very ironic when you don't mind purchasing and mixing ZFX but pitched a huge fit about having to shake Optimum Car Wax.

...and way to miss the point completely.

Scott- do you intend on trying the CS and ZAIO since it doesn't rquire ZFX? I think a lot of people would appreciate full, long term reviews from you. You reputation almost demands it.

A lot of expecting to be appreciative people should send me samples then... ;)

:nixweiss I'll probably end up trying it. I've tried Z2 Pro and the original Z5. Nice products but I like Werkstatt better. Actually, Z8 is my favorite Zaino product.

The whole ZFX deal isn't so much the time but that I have to do it at all when other products I think are at least as good or better require no buying another product to mix with them. I can just grab and go.

Like I said earlier, the whole 'wipe on and done' aspect of CS and the not yet released Optimum Sealant isn't going to be what makes or breaks either product, it is how they look and protect.

Judging from the pics posted earlier, it seems like CS has no issues in the looks department.

Quick question for the bet testers of CS. read somewhere else that CS did not work well for the user over carnuba that was just applied. they reported some spots that looked like water spots. after contacting Zaino they were told that it is best if the carnuba cured for 8-10 hrs. can somebody confirm or deny this for me please ? I was planning on using the CS over some carnubas for my customers if I could squeeze 3 or 4 months out of it. if I need to wait to apply CS over the carnuba then I will only be able to use it on my rides. just looking for a answer before I decide to buy or not. to the people that want Scottwax to try the CS, I say shoot him a sample, I would if I had any. then let him do his thing. wish I had a small sample to try over a carnuba to put it to the curing test myself.

So, what's the ETA for the new AIO and CS? I gave the whole thread a quick once over and didn't see anything. TIA

With +4000 posts to this site surly you share the Autopia opinion that looks will always be a subjective topic?

CS Would be the same as any other LSP...If you like the look then there would be no issue, if you don't....ISSUE! And that would apply regardless of how well the look compaired to any other Zaino sealant, or LSP product.

With all due respect, It's a personal choice that each of us have.

Yes and no. It can be judged with experience how clear a product is after application. Many carnaubas warm the paint looks wise and some sealents do as well. Some like that but I don't unless you get a good bit of wetness in the trade like Souveran.

Ultimately we have to wait for the product to come out for our own testing and then judge based on what we see in real life. I think excitement is high for this product because of Zaino's past track record.

I was wondering the same thing. I hope one or both come out soon I'm ready to test.

The ZAIO that doen't require ZFX is great . Personally I never minded using ZFX, but I am willing to give the ZAIO a try. I am a big fan of Z2pro& Z5 pro and I can't go with out my Z8.

The CS sounds awesome. All the Z skeptics complained about ZFX and now CS is too easy:think2

What is ironic on my part? I AM looking for an easier way with less steps. While I don't complain about using ZFX once every 6 months, I am always seeking products that are durable and even easier to use.

That's why I purchased OPTIMUM to begin with; ease of use claims and its 5 month touted longevity--only to find out it had to be shaken and re-shaken during use...it settles rather quickly,....and worse than that it was dead after 4-6 weeks. It also had to be used on a 100% clean surface unlike most QDs.

If it had worked as advertised I would likely still be using it.

I'd like you to find the link of the so-called "huge FIT" I pitched. All I could find was, "I was not at all impressed with OCW. It needs to be shaken and shaken often. It starts seperating within 15 minutes. If you buy the gallon size be sure to use see through spray bottles so that you do not inadvertently forget to shake it up. I was disappointed that the directions made no mention whatsoever that the product needs to be shaken up."

The rest of the post elaborates more on why Optimum did not impress me then and still does not now.

I guess that is considered a "Huge Fit":doh

No it is not, when I don't

I think that the “excitement may be so high for this product that from photos posted on the Internet (and “experience) one can conclude that the looks of CS are capable of closing subjective gaps to the point where there would be “no issues with the looks?

Anyway........

I hope not. Both LSP camps (wax vs sealant) produce wonderful appearances and I enjoy viewing both.

No different at all from people saying how easy Zaino is to use...once you mix it with ZFX. 6 of one, half a dozen of another.

And of course it need to be used on a 100% clean surface, it is an LSP, not a QD.

I'd like you to find the link of the so-called "huge FIT" I pitched.

Search function isn't working. :nixweiss

I do remember you and Anthony went back and forth on the subject for a few days.

Your specific comment I remember was that if you had known OCW had to be shaken, you wouldn't have bought it in the first place.

And your comment about irony misses my whole point about ZFX anyway. The time factor is a very small part of my problem with it. Having to BUY another product to use Z2 or Z5 (whether it be ZFX or Z-1) to get the best results when I can use Werkstatt's Acrylic Jett without any mixing, any additional product, no potentially mixing too much and wasting product, etc and IMO, get better results in appearance and equal durability, why would I want to buy a product line that has such a requirement for best results?

The main issues that intrigues me about Zaino CS is its compatibility with other products and you can use it straight from the bottle. The apply and walk away aspect, while a small time saver, isn't really that important to me. If the looks and durability are what the beta testers are claiming, then it CS would be a product I would considering using. Fair enough?

"Your specific comment I remember was that if you had known OCW had to be shaken, you wouldn't have bought it in the first place."

I never made that statement and would not ever make that statement. I have seen you attribute that statement to me more than once. It is ridiculous : I have purchased several products that need to be shaken.

I don't recall if I ever posted this but I will say, "I would never have purchased Optimum if I knew how poor the durability really is."

btw...I'm still waiting for Shokar...I know it is going to make Zaino and Klasse users take notice

The search function works fine...Just put "RIC" for user and "Optimum" for search term...7 threads, including this one come up.

I wish you guys would stop bickering with this he said/she said...you both have points about the respective products...but RIC, is that a joke about Shokar? Because Shokar became Jeff's Werkstatt.

Scott, I am not sure how you can make the claim about "getting better results in appearance" when (please correct me if I am wrong) you have never used Z5pro.

Having used both product lines (JW and zaino) on darker colors IMO you do need AJ topped with CJ or a good carnuba to get the look of Z5pro.

My durability of AJ was 4 months and in the past with old Z2 with ZFX I have got 6 months on my daily driver. The car with AJ got Z8 1-2x a month, Z8 was not around when I used the old Z2 w/ ZFX on my daily driver.
