Breaking Zaino news...

Anthony if you ever need somebody to do a non bias side by side test of the new Opt sealant versus CS count me in. I do all my comparison of products with an open mind. I do not favor any one company or am I influenced by what others tell me. I am on my own and let the products do their thing and then and only then will I decide what works best for me. I have used just about every polish , sealant and carnauba out there. I am offering my services to you as somebody who it totally neutral. do like the prospect of the new sealant that does not need to be removed. as others have said it will save me valuable time. give me a shout if you should need me for a test.

That's about as fair as it gets......:xyxthumbs

After wash: ZAIO, Z2 or Z5PRO depending on color of vehicle and finish with CS.

What have I done? 3 layers of protection and shine enhancement. :woot:

Can't you just do ZAIO and CS? Wouldn't those two products provide sufficient protection?

That's a test I'd like to try here in Texas.....

I keep Z2p and Z5p on my personal vehicles and they hold up very well with our heat and humidity. The Z-CS is what I'm really looking forward to trying. First over a coat of Z2p and then over a coat of just ZAIO for looks and longevity....

The protection from Z5p and Z2p are well known, these two new comers need to get some playing time......!

Of course, that goes without saying from my testing of CS (no personal data yet on ZAIO, but time is now available for me to test the ZAIO). The fortunate part about layerable products is that more sacrificial protection is always a benefit and ease of use will not negate me from practicing the "art of detailing" (experimenting with what I see may produced the best appearance to accompany the protection). A clear advantage of CS is that I can also offer my customers that perfer carnuaba-based products a CS seal.:bigups

Like many have mentioned during this thread. I still like "masturbating" a well polish finish also and playing around with product combinations.

I will offer my customers/friends the best deal for their money. Both options will be available.:wavey

Dogma, it looks like you only have sealants in your arsenal, but you may want to also try some carnauba wax products. You will find that a quality wax will protect much better against water spots, bug splatter, and tree sap then the sealants will, and the wax will also add some depth to your finish.

On the contrary I was a huge carnuba fan beging in 1978 or with Mequiars #26 & #16.

Since finding sealants I prefer them to Carnuba , not saying one is better than the other just my preference. I don't care for the functionality of carnuba anymore. i will still buy them and test them though( but not on my car that gets only Zaino)

Yes you can. Most of my tests have been either ZPC followed by CS, or AIO followed by CS. The durability on CS is so exceptional that I do not feel the need to do an additional coat of Z5pro or the like.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the offer. If my personal testing goes OK then I will be needing a few beta testers. I'll be sure to contact you.

I like the idea of a long lasting protective finish yet I hated having to wait hours for a polymer to bond so I came up with the idea of a wipe on/wipe off sealant that would avoid the bonding time and the sometimes difficult removal of some sealants.

Thanks for the consideration, I appreciate it. just trying to lend an honest unbiased opinion if you need one:hifive:

YOU did? I thought I had heard of WOWO before this thread, but then again, I find that the old Z5/ZFX pretty much flashes, disappears, and you don't have to buff it off...so maybe I had the idea for CS without even knowing it...or then again, maybe someone else (Sal Zaino) did...

Just a quote from the back of the bottle of my Supercoat Aircraft Windshield Treatment circa 1976: "2. Apply...with a soft cloth...3. Before surface is dry, wipe with a clean dry soft cloth..." Sounds like WOWO to me, and they even have a product for cars now (for all I know, they had the car one back in 1976, too, I only had the Windshield one because I was told it was good for plastics).

Thanks Greg, that is good information to know.

Anthony, pertaining to your last post, did you mean wipe on/walk away sealant instead of wipe on/wipe off? From your posts, I gather that the Optimum Beta Sealant, like the new ZCS, can be wiped on and it will evaporate, allowing the user to physically walk away, thus eliminating the requirement of post application wiping/toweling. Is this correct?

CS is a truly wipe on/walk away product that dries to a high gloss, super slick, extremely durable finish.

Sorry about the confusion.

I am not speaking of a wipe on and wipe off product but rather, as GragCavi states, a wipe on and walk away product.

I understand that this is the same idea with the Zaino product.

The product is applied, and then solvents evaporate. Again I did not come up with some new type of technology or chemistry, as I stated that would be ridiculous. What I wanted David to create was a unique product, very simple and easy to use. Instead of wiping on, wait to bond I wanted to know if it could be made to be just wiped on and then left alone?

David told me some solvents could do this but it wasn't easy to get it all together like I had envisioned. I have come up with several product ideas but most of them are just wishful thinking and David tells me so, this one though just might work. We had in the past year tried several formulations but they if they had great durability (over a year) they had no depth, or great depth with no slickness, etc. I want this sealant to have it all....which again may be "wishful thinking". We'll see.

So again, like the Zaino product, it's a wipe on, forget about it type of product...what would that be..."WOWA" (wipe on/walk away)? :)

I too with my prep work can make turtle wax gleam, but I want the best for me. I want super gloss, no white residue, depth, ease of use, clarity, and durability.

Back in the day I used z2 non pro (the old one) and I liked it, but it was just....a tad better then ok. I was always looking for a sealant that was quick, easy to use, unbelievable gloss, depth, and great durability. I was like most people I bought a new bottle of sealant every week and after wasting thousands of dollars on so many hype products I gave up. I found one sealant/wax that was the best but was a project taking off, but the looks were so amazing and very durable. The time factor was an issue for me and this is very important (time is money).

In the end I was like most people, I was tired of hearing about the new z pro stuff and I did not want to waste my money on another hype product (I was wrong)

One day I broke down and had an urge to buy more products (we all have these urges) and I went to zaino and ordered every product they had!!!!! I was urged to see what all the hype was. I then waited for the detail product santa (he wears the ups outfit) and tried them out.

I took an 98 Escort that I have pics and post here on a click and brag I have on here. I used the zpc and topped it with z-5 pro w/zfx. The ease of use was the easiest, no white residue, very clear and bright, insane gloss and then some. I was BLOWN AWAY! I said to myself, I am stupid...I should have tried this new zpc, z5 pro a long time ago.

Now they are coming out with an aio and a sealant that you put on and walk away. This may be the easiest sealant to use possible. If it's better than z-5 pro or the same shine and depth then I will love this one. I think zaino it catering to all the non zaino people also... You can apply this coat over any lsp brand of choice and walk away. His motto for the bottle should be," The bias opinions stops hear" or "plays well with others". Now he is open for other products to be used under this. Now that is product friendly and I think zaino is a verry good team player to do this. He is not product bashing, but he is offering a product that goes over your favorite brand for extra durability and gloss that only wipes on.

I can't wait till they go on sale...I am sold!

Excellent post :goodjob

This is exactly what happend to me. Only I am still trying new products. I wonder if the is a waxaholic or sealantaholic meeting somewhere. I am sure my wife hopes so :chuckle:

I was always looking for a sealant that was quick, easy to use, unbelievable gloss, depth, and great durability.

The newest Zaino sealants (pro) definitely can pull that off based on my experience.

I have to see how CS works with other waxes but it does open some interesting possibilities as a quick sealant product even if you don't have Zaino base layers.

..

Honestly, that aspect of either product means little to me and probably when you get down to it, not a whole to anyone here. I'd say the vast majority of LSPs we use are so easy to wipe off that is it almost enjoyable to do so. The only real benefit seems to be a small amount of time saved.

I find that to be quite ironic coming from a guy who says it takes too much effort to mix in a few drops of ZFX into the Z5 or Z2 polish.

This Zaino CS really sounds like a breakthrough in the detailing community. I'm sure some people will be skeptical, and still favor other products too it, kinda like when sealants got big, but for me I'm definitely interested because for me it would save me so much time. I just ordered Zaino Z5 Pro, Z8 and ZFX with the intention of giving my car a nice detail and not having to worry about it. I actually planned on doing it today but just got too fatigue (I've had a terrible cold/pink eye) and ended up just slapping a coat of #21. If from what the beta testers are telling us is true; that CS looks as good as other Z products and durability is in the 3 month range I'll be selling all my other stuff off and just keep my PC, MF collection, Optimum Polish and Zaino CS.

I can see why DC got all worried about this thread because it sounds like it's going to put to shame all the products they sell/endorse :nervous2:
