Breaking Zaino news...

Or you could just do this:

z7 wash

Zpc

CS

It's a really versatile sealer that can fit into many combos in the lineup. As per Z8, After the Residue has disappeared, if a Z8 wipe down is done, you will see another boost in slickness. CS + Z8 gives an outrageously slick surface. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Ok Thanks Greg. So it looks more like this.

Here is a possible example of a full detail using Zaino:

#1 Z7 Wash or your favorite car shampoo

#2 Z18 Clay or your favorite clay

--If light swirls skip #3--

#3 Buff (hand or machine) per your favorite polish

#4 Final polish stage - use ZPC or your favorite final polish

#5 Z-AIO (replaces ZFX)

#6 Z-2 and/or Z-5 **NOTE ZFX unnecessary**

#7 Z-6 or Z-8 **wait to dry***

#8 Z-CS

From what I read, the jury is out on where Z-8 fits here. From those initial beta testers, Z-8 had a harder time setting on top of Z-CS. Right?

Quick Wash Detail:

#1 Z7 Wash

#2 Z-PC or Z-AIO

#3 Z-CS

@Sergei:

Is step 4 (ZPC) AND step 5 (ZAIO) redundant or am I missing something? Why would you do both?

Well Z-PC is more agressive vs. Z-AIO. Z-AIO has very mild abrassives and a cleaner. If you have very light swirls, then of course Z-PC can be cut out and go to Step #5.

Thanks.

I will use both the first time I try this on my own car to see what it gives me. Probably gives me a super-slick surface in preparation for Z-5P.

If i'm understanding this correctly,

- ZFX is recommended only when multiple layering (x3).

- ZAIO, then go straight to Z2/Z5 when 1 'layering'.

- ZCS after curing, then Z8.

ZAIO or (Z5pro or Z2pro with ZFX as the first layer to insure good bonding to the paint)

Well it happend, Detail City BANNED me?:banned:

After a long open letter to all my other members that I know from PB events, samples I sent to them etc etc, these tools removed my last letter to everyone in the thread.

Sure enough, I tried to refresh, cannot access on my acount.

Really poor moderators in my view and it's sad that I didn't even get a chance to thank all those prior.:(

Anyway, glad Sal is releasing an AIO product.

man, it's getting really bad over on DC....

Yes it is. And it's just sad that no one can even try to say thank you. All I got was Don't go away mad, just go away for my post.

After all these years with that site, providing feedback, acting in good faith and meeting new people at Poorboy events, sending out samples, lending my equipment etc etc, they took it upon themselves to remove my last post thanking all of those I've befriended. I haven't posted in months and now I know why. Next time I see Steve from Poorboys, I have to ask what is happening on this site.

And on another note:

I'll be putting in my order whenever the newer products become avalible.

I don't understand it- Steve from Poorboys can send samples to everyone and those guys aren't called shills when they write reviews, but when people post about Zaino products it's a different story:confused: Here it's open, people are reviewing Zaino, Red Dot and every other product ever made, many even discontinued.

Detail City is dishing out tons of bad karma and getting rid of some of their best members.

Oh well. Thanks to Autopia for allowing this and every other discussion about every product. :)

I can't help but think such actions would have a negative impact on the site sponsors' reputations.

wow..the more detailing sites I visit, the more I like Autopia!

I think the best thing about CS, as was mentioned, is its compatibility with products outside the Z line. If this is true, then that is a major plus!

(zaio is a sketchy acronym though..it's like you tried to type 'zaino' and fat-fingered it lol.)

The Fuzz dude at DC seems like a real jerk. The way they banned you was classless.

Yea, did seem a bit harsh. As I was posting the question to "the moderator" to ask why my original post on this very thread over at DC was removed and no one gave me a heads up via email/PM or something to state what I did wrong. Then, in reply in the new thread, it was my time to say goodbye to those I knew and a few other issues and questions to them about the action taken, but that too was removed. After that, I was banned. DC site is way out of control. After this issue, I sent the webmaster to remove all data and vehicle posts, pictures etc to my name on DC. I know many good people are leaving or being banned over at DC.

Ah, but at last here at Autopia, there's not the threat of Homeland Security sending you to "Gitmo".

As for the Zaino, I'm wondering how much cleaning action chemical or abrasive the AIO will have and how close it is to Klasse AIO and others. If chemical, does it leave a light haze?

The headlight areas of my Camaro have a goofy single-stage type finish that tends to oxidize very quickly. Here is an example of the cleaning ability of ZAIO used by hand. I applied it with a cotton applicator and worked it for about 45 seconds to 1 minute.

Not bad! not bad at all. I'm sure in time things will improve even more like Z5-Pro and Z2-Pro and of course Z8.

Wonder how the Optimum is coming along as well. I haven't used the polish, but from others using it, seems damn universal polish. So the sealant should be interesting to see as well.

And for those that supported me in the DC snafu..... THANK YOU!!:thx

Welcome to the club of DC x-Patriots.

After inappropriate deletion of one of my posts, I believe it was about mis-information about Zaino, I requested that they terminate my membership. Otherwise, I am sure I would have been Banned because of my concurrent ideologies.
